I would love to see more liners, instead of MAC putting out the these mascaras that are suppose to be darker but honestly to me seem the same they should be adding more liners.

Seriously! I'm tired of every single mascara in black. And super black. No one needs 20 mascaras, but only 10 versions.

I've always heard MAC mascaras are terrible by the majority of people I know so, I've never really bought one because I was scared I wouldn't like it. But, maybe I'll just try it now when it comes out! :)

I just tried the Exended Play lash again (I got the Waterproof version) and it was pretty good, esp. for a WP formula. Great definition and length and I would almost swear a little curling action too. Of course I have to layer a volumizing mascara over it, just how I roll, but I think I could be real happy with a super black version of this that isn't WP for a defining mascara. There was no flaking or smearing for me on this either, which could be the WP version only, but I was pretty impressed with this for the price. It reminded me a lil of Definicils (Lancome) but with a slightly smaller price tag. If they made this in brown, I would be ecstatic.

Extended play isn't waterproof, neither this new one or the original one. :nope:

They put out a waterproof one, I swear, maybe it was LE. It says Waterproof on it and it doesn't budge! (has a blue top)

The blu top one is the original formula. It's perm, and most definitely not waterproof. Where does it say waterproof?

I will go and check. Maybe it isn't waterproof but it certainly acts waterproof. I had to use EVOO to get it off! Either that or a ton of eye makeup remover and scrubbing diligently. It stayed on in the shower, through tears (I watched an emotional movie) and I mean all day long.

That's so funny cuz it says "easy wash-off formula" Mine comes right off with my wipes.

You were right, it isn't waterproof. I guess the blue cap fooled me. It really does last and last. I wouldn't say its an easy wash-off formula. IF I let the makeup remover soak on the lashes for a minute or so, it wipes off. But it will stay on until I take it off--I slept in it once--bad move.

:haha: I love it on my bottom lashes! Sometimes i do a coat on my top lashes on top of my mascara x, but either way, it's a good one!

Well i kinda like the extended play lash coz it helps to define and curls my lashes without clumping up my lashes. Not a fan of volumizing mascaras, coz most of them clump up on me. When i like a slight lengthening and curling mascara i would use this. The brush really seperates my lashes very well.

Exactly my thoughts. Its like Definicils but not as "wet" if that makes any sense at all. That was my favorite mascara for length but I hated it on the bottom lashes because it was so wet it would smudge more often than not, however this extended play does not do that. It really changed my opinion of MAC mascaras. I still have to layer with a volumizing mascara if I want fluffy, b/c my lame lashes are puny in both length and diameter but this goes on first to extend the length then the next one adds the volume (I like Bad Gal for that function)

i use to think mac mascaras were not very good, but at the time there wren't many formulas either...maybe only one or two....?
i recently tried the false lash mascara and liked it quite a bit...it definitely changed my opinion of mac mascara. even the zoom formula seems to have been improved or something....

I've not tried MAC mascaras in quite some time. Right now I'm using Buxom and really like it. I bought some Diorshow Iconic that was suppose to be amazing. It's ok, but I will never buy it again. I was hoping for a lot of length but it was just so-so.

I have several sample of different brands I need to try. I have a Guerlain I got as a GWP that I've had for a couple of months but keep forgetting to use it.

So do you guys like Extended Play or False Lashes better for length?

I was wearing They;re Real as one of my favorite all time mascaras until I got the original Extended Play. That is one of the best mascaras I have ever used. It defines,
thickens, and lengthens beautifully with a perfect curl.

I even had to go on a sudden overnight trip not too long ago and had NO makeup with me for the next day. I went to sleep with my makeup on, and amazingly, when
I woke up, my mascara was just like it was almost freshly applied. Very little fallout, and my lashes were amazing again the 2nd day.

I always remove all of my makeup before bed every night, so I rarely have this experience with mascara. When I have, it has not been good.

Yet when taking it off at night, it is much better than They're Real (Benefit) to remove.

I am looking forward to trying the extra black one too.

I have been using the original Extended Play and I really, really like it. It holds a curl great and it lasts & lasts until I take it off, so I agree with that. Its supposed to come out this month, have we seen it yet--I guess we'll get an email (and hopefully free 2nd day shipping) I want to try the Benefit They're Real one as well. I will still layer a volumizing mascara with the Extended Play for more drama and vavoom but its a great every day mascara for definition with curl. And yeah, its perfect for the bottom lashes--I can get each one with no smearing and flashback.
