Interesting! I'm a fan of Stephanie Seymour and if her kids are serving, I'm down, no judgment. MAC doesn't do collections with men featured as often as they should. This sounds different than the norm. I hope the products are good.

I don't know them but idk they're attractive and I think it's cool to see dudes collabing with MAC. I'm interested in the quad mostly.

quad and sunset boulevard for me hopefully :) even though I think they could have skipped carbon.. again.. thankfully I have dodged all carbons so far so this might be my first one lol

Gold Eye Kohls could be nice and i'm curious about the Sculpting Cream Duo, and i already have Carbon (but just one) in a palette from a few years ago. But basically nothing i can't live without - which is good since i dropped so much on Future MAC and will be dropping on Chris Chang tomorrow.

I'll be skipping. The quad is OK, but easy to dupe, and the lip markers look like something I tried from another brand some years back, which really dried my lips out.

I had no idea who these boys were, and in fact when I saw the photo I thought for a moment that they were girls.

It's funny people say how bad carbon is and I have a few. But weirdly there was one eyeshadow quad I got a while ago from a Halloween collection called ' The Monsters bride' and the carbon in that is so amazing that I thought Mac had released a new colour and then when I looked on the back, it was carbon. It is my go to and super soft and buttery and as black as anything. So maybe I got a good batch that time because it is blacker than any eyeshadow I have and doesn't look like any of the other carbons I have. So everytime a new pallete comes out, I have to see the carbon in it, hoping it will be as good as the oneI am holding on to dear life for lol.

That was the Rick Baker collection. I bought the Spider Queen eyeshadow palette and it has Carbon in it, too. That is the only Carbon i own, and i never wear black shadow, so it is languishing unused, altho i use all the other colors in it. I love that palette - purples and poison green, one of my favorite combos.

Ahh Yes!! How good was that collection? I didn't get the spider queen one, wish I did. I wear the 'Monsters bride' palette (not quad like I accidentally said) almost everyday. It's my go-to shadow set. I usually line my eyes with a black eyeliner first and then I set my eyeliner with the Carbon shadow on top. That collection that was fantastic!! Ah the purple and green combo..sounds amazing! :)

what kind of eyeliner do you use? never heard of this before. does the eyeliner hold up better or do you just do it for more intensity? :)

I use lots of different eyeliners and always put the carbon on the top. So sometimes I might use a black pencil (say feline) and then I wait a little then I put the carbon on the top. Sometimes I use a gel eyeliner and wait for it to set and then put the carbon on the top.I use this combo for both longevity and intensity. I've been doing this for about 10 years now so I know it works for me. Oh and I always have a paint pot on my eyes first for a base (like painterly).
I love it :)
Hope this helps...it's fun to play around and find things that work for you

Maybe just El Dorado eye kohl for me depending on how it swatches, everything else sounds like a disappointment.

I'm considering El Dorado Eye Kohl - Bold gold - and Paragon Pearl Eye Kohl - Champagne gold. Nothing else interests me.

I never wear black eye liner. It's just wrong for me. I wear all sorts of other colors - browns, greens, plums/burgundies. Better for my coloring.

Haha isn't it funny how we all know what works. I'm exactly the opposite, black eyeliner looks good on me and everything else looks dull. I think its because I have big eyes so black eyeliner seems to work. I would like to try plum/burgandy colours again though, very fall.

Who are these people and what have they done to warrant a collection. I wish MAC would stop with these silly random collections. I can't say I find this collection particularly interesting. Oh well money saved for Star Trek and Selena!!!

I need to get Feline! And I've noticed the Carbon in my Smoky Metallic X9 is much better than my Carbon single--it's like a MatteSquared lol--so I've been using it to set/intensify the upper lash line

It's not that my Carbons are bad. It's that I find it to be a waste to purchase a quad where one of the shades is already in my collection approx. 13 times. It makes me not want to hand over my money. If I'm buying just 4 shades, I want 4 shades I don't own, or maybe only own one of.

:yes:Lol yes I agree with that actually. I have about 10 carbons myself....a lifetimes worth I reckon. They do need to :marchmellow: carbon, I'm sure a lot of us Mac makeup buyers have a lifetimes worth.
