The bloggers MAC chose--just call the collection Mauve Nude and be done with it lol

Seriously our own MontREALady (Kifana) would have been a great choice. And as Marsha mentioned Shayla. There are a lot of interesting women/girls on IG that would be diverse and exciting.

So what type of colors would you guys make? I actually think it is harder than we think. I went to the BITE color lab and had 3 (or was it two) colors made and I after looking at the pigments I had no idea what to make. I was a little overwhelmed.

Lipstick-wise...

1) I'd bring back MAC Scanty.

2) I'd want Evening Blitz (from the upcoming Colour Rocker) in a satin or cremesheen formula.

3) I'd bring back Feed the Senses. (It was in the 2015 Holiday collection, but in a palette.)

Other products... I'll just bring back this post I made in the "We Wish You Would Make This Collection (Someday Soon)" thread...

When Doves Cry - Iridescent grey/slate blue duochrome (Frost). Something like that, perhaps?

Wow--that would be overwhelming!!

I think I'd have to know a lot before I even attempted it. I tend to like complex shades, but I have no idea what is the answer to the question--what shade don't I already have?

I'm essentially this emoji about the whole collection:

I agree. I guess we need to see the products to see how imaginative these gurus are? The Rescue Beauty Lounge first blogger collection had Scrangie--I used to love that shade. So I guess bloggers/guru's (ugh, don't love that word "guru's") can do a nice job. If they do something spectacular, well then we'll see.

The diversity thing is really the worst part of this. Why do an international theme and not have people of color. And why restrict sales by country.

The only one of these I follow is Samantha. She is a freaking talented makeup artist... properly trained and talented. It's a bit boring that she's doing a nude as well but come to think of it, she's almost always wearing nude colours. I've heard of larlarlee but I'm not familiar with her. I wonder what the aim of this Beauty Gurus project was for MAC. A lot of the other collaborations MAC has done in the past few years have been very representative (diverse wise (sex, race, countries, age, etc.) so this one is a bit off. I like the concept though but also wonder how much creative licence these "gurus" had because like everyone has echoed... you have the ability to make any lipstick you want, why a boring colour? I'd personally like to recreate the MAC x Rihanna Riri Boy and Heaux lipsticks to a tee *sigh... the ones that got away*.

Kinda funny to see that one of the "beauty gurus" is a chick I saw on Youtube a few months ago, swatching MAC lipsticks and not even bothering to wipe the previous colors off of her lips before putting on the next one. Oh dear...

I'm not getting it either.
It's clearly bothering me lol

Oh, Riri
I remember seeing the frustrated comments on fb
I was just getting into online shopping and miraculously got a leftover Riri Woo from Nordies lol
I had wanted those Chanel Knightsbridge collection lipsticks, I might have duped those once upon a time

Eh???????
Yep...definitely makes me wonder what MAC was thinking when they picked these people.
I'm starting to wonder that too, after reading about what I've just quoted you on.

I'm a creature of habit so I would make a blue based red. That's my favorite color and the one I look the best in.

If I could make any three lipsticks for myself I'd make a more neon version of Betty Bright, a re-make of Playing Koi, and a deep purple-y oxblood.
