I got my MAC package today. My Blush packaging has a weird half circle scuff to the left of the cheek image on the lid. I'm kind of bummed ??????I hate getting things with scratches. Does anyone else have this issue? The packinging is so unique in this collection, I'm so excited for it. Also, the versicolour stain is beautiful it doesn't settle into lip lines and dries down a bit darker than the colour in the tube.

Awesome! I'm so excited about these lipsticks! I think I will get a lot of wear out of both - and perhaps I need a backup of AKS lol. Let us know what you think when it arrives! :icon_cheers::icon_cheers:
I love AKS and I know you will too. The texture was smooth, thin and non-drying matte - I only tried it on quickly though. It read slightly warm on me. I'll wear it out during the day tomorrow and see it in natural light. I might want a second backup! I love the packaging. Hope yours arrive ASAP!

My order came in Monday. I bought both shadow duos and the bag and the brushes. I know the SE brushes aren't always great but I used the 217 quite a bit now and was curious about the SE one and I used to love the 159 for highlighter. I have since ventured on but I love collection SH brushes and it's cute so . . . I have no idea where the 217 went. I took it out of the box but it has since disappeared. Oh yeah, these brushes came in special boxes. Brushes usually don't, even the ones with special packaging. Anyway, I believe the regular 217 is natural hair but this one doesn't appear to be so. The regular 159 is a duo fiber brush but this one doesn't appear to be. I tried the 159 and I'm on the fence. It seemed just okay. I may not keep it but it is cute. I haven't tried the 217 as it is MIA. The bag is cute but I don't know if I need it either. I am taking a trip this summer and thought it would be cute for that but I probably bought as consolation for missing out on the fruity juicy bag. I haven't tried the shadows yet. I skipped the blush because I have Petal Power already and I'm trying to cut back a bit but again I like the packaging. I would have loved the cushion compact. I might seek it out if they ever bring back the Mac Cushion foundation.

The 217LE is so cute but it's nowhere near a 217. I will probably end up buying a 217 short handle. The Steve and Yoni 217 is made in China and definitely synthetic. It's not a blending brush. I was able to do a one shadow smokey eye and the brush did diffuse/blend out the edges very nicely. It feels soft on the eyelids. It might work well with cream/liquid products.Still I would rather have paid more for a real 217 in the LE packaging

I think even the short-handled and regular-length permanent 217s (along with all the other permanent brushes) are made in China and synthetic now as well.

I recommend a Hakuhodo J5523. It's maybe a touch bigger than the 217 in terms of brush shape, but it is made with (very soft) goat hair, has a shorter handle, and is even slightly cheaper.

And here's a side-by-side. MAC 217 (purchased in 2012, made in Japan) on the left; J5523 on the right.
