Can anyone enlighten me (I'm not a native speaker) what the connotation is behind the whole basic bitch thing? Obviously I understand the words, but not the concept.

[h=3]What is a basic bitch?[/h] Urban Dictionary (aka the bible of bluntly identifying this generation’s popular slang) defines a basic bitch as someone who engages in unoriginal behaviors, modes of dress, topics of conversation, and interests. This person thinks that they are a perfect catch but in reality they wouldn’t even create a spark of interest from someone who partakes in other activities besides melting into the status quo of a mainstream agenda.

I like the Mischief Minx palette kinda and the name is actually one of the cuter ones. Might pick that up, but don't really need it at all ever. LOL.

See, and this is why I am trying to figure out why, with such a negative connotation, MAC would name any product Basic B*tch. Why would one want to buy such a thing and or be associated with it? Am I missing some social/societal commentary here about smoky eyes being passe? Am I overthinking it? Possibly.

I must admit, those MAC Girls palettes look really cute on the YouTube video reviews I've been watching. But, like Macaholick I only like 2 shadows from each palette so it's still a skip for me.

I think MAC Girls is a good marketing move to attract new younger customers BUT I still don't think getting rid of the fall collection was smart. I don't know what, if any reaction MAC has had on their Facebook?

Oh Thanks for telling me about the blushes. I was interested in a few. I will complain as well.
Here are the ones I have so far:
View attachment 61053 Left side is the Fashion Fanatic palette, right side is Cherry Topped, Teal Appeal, In The Shadows, New Crop and Black Tied.

View attachment 61054 News Flash, Bright Response, Fashion's Field Day, How Royal and Try Me On Dazzleshadow. I plan on getting at least 6 more, not including the Dazzleshadows.

MAC MUA's Cher Webb and Keri Blair have done pretty tutorials of the Girls palettes on both their YouTube and IG.

I love the packaging but I need something with darker shades like Semi Sweet X9
