MAC x Nicki Minaj collection (September 21, 2017)

I wish MAC would make more lipsticks in the colour of the bullet as the packaging, I find it so so cute. I really want the two LE shades, I ordered Nicki's Nude as part of the presale on the Canadian MAC site, should be getting it in the mail tomorrow, can't wait to see how it looks.

I finally got around to trying Baby's All Right (BAR) and Mmmmmm on my lips and was pleasantly surprised that they looked much nicer than my hand swatches did.

I wish Mmmmmm was a matte or Satin though, it was very pretty nonetheless and I could see more mauve than my dull hand swatch showed.

I am still trying to work out BAR, it appears very different on me in various lighting, it has tones of cool brown, pink/mauve and I think a little bit of grey too. I'm liking it so far.

I do not think I have dupes as I rarely venture down the non-pink nudes path. I might get back ups of both after I test them out a bit more.

yes! I have quite a lot of nudes too both pink/brown/mauve toned and I couldn't not find a single one close to these maybe one and that one was way darker! but not similar to my two favs (BAR and mmm). I rarely buy backups but these two or at least BAR (because of the formula) is a new must have for me :)

that's what I said! no dupes in sight. if anyone find a dupe for them please let me (us?) know lol :rolleyes::cool: *edit: I just ordered backups of BAR+mmmm just in case..

I didn't even realize this was up for early access and went on this morning to order a refill of my lip liner and saw it lol I got Nicki's Nude, The Pink Print, and Among the Fireflies

I didn't do the pre-order because I want to try them on. Let me know how Nicki's Nude is, I keep going back and forth on that one.

I'm in the US and i got a text from MAC at the end of last week that the two collections - Nicki's 4 and the larger nude lip collection - were available for Select members to order before the public launch. Well, i was gonna skip it... but i caved. Only got three - Nicki's Pinkprint, Bosom Friend, and N2.

On me - normally neutral 15, but closer to 20 because i was camping for 2 weeks (SPF 50, but it wears off and i don't always remember to reapply) - The Pinkprint is a nice basic medium-light slightly warm pink - a safe color to wear in almost any situation - except when i want drama :) I'm not fond of the finish, because it's a bit too matte for me - i know it's Amplified,but i prefer something a bit creamier.

Bosom Friend is a really pale pink, reminded me of the almost white lips of the late 1960s. And N2 is a very neutral nude, almost a lip erase on me, and my lips are fairly colorful by themselves. I will be playing with them to find ways to make them work - probably a little pale pink lip liner and dark eye makeup.

I'm pleased that the nude lip collection has such a range of nudes from pale to deep, and warm to neutral to cool, so there should be nudes that will work on most people. I don't normally think of Fall as nude lipstick time, but i think MAC's releases this year have been a bit odd, so i guess that fits.

I know the so-called "waiting room" can be annoying. But it is there to prevent the equivalent of a "denial of service". If too many requests (thousands) are coming in at the same time, the programming can't handle them all simultaneously and the servers shut down. Then no one can order anything, possibly for a whole day. MAC isn't doing it to piss us off or play games with us. They are doing it to make sure their computers don't crash. It is actually a good and sensible thing, even if we are left hanging, wondering what's going on. Better than MAC disappearing from the internet for a day or two.

I was at work with no WiFi and reception going in and out and I was still able to order on my phone with only a 10 minute wait in the waiting room. I am SO keeping my Obsessed status for Aliyah 2018 lol

I am obsessed but of course I can't access this collection. Or I can't seem to find it on the site. Does anyone have info or a link that can help me? Is early access over? TIA!

eta: I read that early access is over. Is that correct?

I backed up BAR and also ordered Stripped. Glad to hear you got back ups and are enjoying these totally unique shades :icon_cheers::cloud9: I hope MAC rolls out some more unique toned matte/satin nudes in future. I have a unique MAC Amplified shade in Haute Altitude from years ago and it would have been a good fit for repromotion in this collection, however once again if only it had been a matte/satin!

Yes, unfortunately. It was only for one day. It's due to be out this week I believe (Thursday, 21st) but I'm not sure if they'll give obsessed another early go. I couldn't decide which ones I wanted and missed the early access as well.

I had several of the original N1 lipstick which I loved, but sadly they all went bad/rancid/stinky. I wonder if MAC got that corrected with the new one.

Oh my gosh I haven't ordered anything yet!!!!!! I was hoping to swatch them in person and I teach long hours Thursday (if that is the launch date). If they launch in store I will check them out this weekend. So happy to hear you have found some nudes that don't pull straight up brown!!!!

I was wondering if you were still teaching. Our son has been a professor since he was 26 & we just found out that he is going to get promoted to Dean of the university where he teaches :icon_cheers::cloud9: We're so proud of him.

Anyhow, I'm still not sure about which shades will work with my pigmented lips.

So so awesome! A huge congrats to your son! Wow. That is great! I've had my position at my current University since I was 28! Time flies so fast. It's all consuming at times, but I love it and my students are great! Funny story, when I was doing introductions in one of my first classes this semester, one of my students asked what lipstick I was wearing!!!!!!!! lol! In front of everyone! Super funny.

On a totally different note, I bought another pair of jeans from Anthropology yesterday. Lol! I'm nowhere near the 7 pair mark like you, but I know you will appreciate it! Plus I dragged hubs along for the feedback:rofl::rotfl:

I LOVE it!!! :icon_cheers::wootrock::rofl:yes, the hubbies get their 2 cents LOL! I'm so happy you love the Anthro jeans too! Pilcro brand is my favorite. I got the ones with the light pink lace & sequins at the hem...have you seen those!? :heart: I'm going to start hanging my jeans on rods with 3 1/2 inch S hooks like they do in the store :D

That lipstick story is GREAT!!! So what shade were you wearing? LOL
