Dior 5 shadow palette vs Givenchy quad in purple show: what's the better palette?
I want to get a higher end purple eyeshadow palette, with packaging that is at least kind of sturdy, with a range of highly pigmented, opaque, buttery smooth, and has low or no fallout. Is the dior or givenchy one a better choice? They are the same price where I live.

If assume you're talking about Dior's Stylish Move palette? I have it and I really dislike it. The shadows are really dry and yield very little pigmment...especially the dark eggplant color. You have pile it on to make it look okayish. The palette actually turned me off purple eyeshadows for a while.

Thanks for the heads up! That is good to know! Sucks that it's so bad. I also was looking up the ysl couture purple palette, and it looks fairly decent.

I haven't tried the ysl or Givenchy one, but I think they HAVE to be better than the Dior one. Guerlain's Les Violets four color palette also looks nice. I'm still stuck with the Dior palette and I'm considering tossing it because the only color I'm close to finishing is the generic highlighting shadow even though I try to make the palette work every few months I just fail. I like to finish my make up but I doubt I will ever finish it.

It sounds like it! The quality really should be better, considering how expensive they are. That's a hard decision. Maybe you could sell it to someone, who doesn't mind the quality and just likes dior.

Have you considered Shiseido es trio in " Bouquet " ? It is very good, pigmented, smooth ( buttery texture ), easily wearable. 3 eyeshadows come in a black pan with a Mirror in it. It's one of the best ever IMO.

I hadn't. I will definitely check that one out too!
