So long as the Addict Glosses (and ESPECIALLY Red Stockings) are not being replaced then I am good with it

LOL - I have Red Stockings and love it, if they were going to Dc that I would buy another 10!!! I dont like the packaging though - honestly is plain sux and I really wish Dior would fix it! My Red Stockings leaks...

Well, it looks like Sephora.com already got rid of the Sunshine Blush stock..

I received my Sunrise Party today and i'm in love. It's perfect, but now i'm scared of using it because I don't want it to run out. I'm hoping to try out Sunset Fiesta - Bloomingdales.com still has some in stock

I tried to search but I really didn't find a good thread that would talk about Dior's make up in general so I decided to make one

Dior is quite an expensive brand that maybe usually is associated with more mature women. That's what I though for long, but since then I have found a few of their products to be stables in my make up collection. Is there anyone else in here that like's Dior's make up and if so what are your favourites?

I have totally fallen in love wiht their eyeshadow (don't worry I still love me MAC as much as I did before), mascara and foundation. I've been wearing Diorskin Forever in 010 (sadly a tad too dar, but I'll manage) and I also really like the Diorshow and Diorshow BlackOut mascaras.

If you like shimmery eyeshadows, their iridescent quads are great. I love the quality of the shadows. I have Earth Reflections and Iridescent Leather and they both have beautiful shimmery neutrals. I often wear them to work.

Right now Smoky Light and Twilight quints have to be my favourites though.

Re: Dior cosmetics

i really like the dior lipsticks - the addict ultra shine ones! really shimmery and feel really smooth. i also have a limited edition eye and lip palette that came out in 2007 and it's pink with 4 browny eyeshadows and 2 lipglosses. cost about £50 but it's nice for travelling and the shadows are pigmented.

Re: Dior cosmetics

I dont find Dior that expensive... with the price hikes for MAC here in AU I can get some Dior items on par with MAC - and thats for an equivalent item!!

I got my Dior Ultra Addicts Reflects Gloss for about the same price as a lipglass and I LOVE it!!

The only thing I dont like is the packaging, mine leaks and I was never a fan of their cosmetic line packaging anyway.... its a little overdone IMHO.

As far as eye colour goes I find them limiting.... Lancome (and MAC obviously) are better. I also find myself looking more at Lancome shadows because they fit in my MAC palettes.... I hate single eyeshadow pots lying about and I still have never bought a Dior shadow for this reason. I used to buy Diorshow but switched to Lancome Definencils which I prefer.

Really the only things I like are their lipglosses, but the bulking packaging and the leaky items make me not want to purchase again until they fix it - I will find something better (Givenchy have some LOVELY glosses) until they do!!!

Re: Dior cosmetics

^I'm only interested in the eyeshadow palettes, don't own any of the singles or duos and I'm pretty sure I will never get them since for me singles just end up lying in the vanity.

In here Dior is allmost double the price than MAC, for exmaple Diorskin Forever is about 50€ and SFF is 25€.

I don't have any Lancome shadows that the one's that I have tried haven't had much of colour payoff

Re: Dior cosmetics

I love Diorskin Forever because it has more goldeny colours than most brands, and its a titanium based sunscreen. I do like their eyeshadows far better than MAC however, and own many quints. Beige Masai Parisian lights and Incognito are my favourites. As far as Lancome shadows, they have a better colour payoff for me than MAC shadows, but all of mine get a film on them and the most colour payoff are Estee Lauder, to me. I do wear mostly NARS, but out of all the colours I own of NARS (which is close to all they have made) they are all getting closed to scraping the bottom of their pans (I took out the duo pans and put them in MAC palettes, sacriligous to some people's eyes, but NARS has the penultimate colours for layering)I've had a lot of Dior lipsticks in my time and I wound up melting them down into a pillbox palette rather than carrying them with me. Lots of nice rose beiges but far too many frosts and rather thin in texture. I like thicker, bolder, matter colours and textures.

I did this will ALL my NARS, blushes, shadows etc as well...LOL! I dont care for their packaging either frankly and their compacts get filthy after a few years....

Re: Dior cosmetics

I don't have a lot of Dior stuff but I do have two Ultra Shine Lipgloss (I think that's what they're called) and they're amazing. They're very shiny and lasta long time yet they feel comfortable on my lips, not very sticky

Recently I've been using my Smoky Light mini palette a lot. I so wish that they would promote it as a fullsized one too.

I love Dior! I'm a big fan of the quints as well. I find their shadows have a lovely creamy quality & excellent colour payoff.

Re: Dior cosmetics

Dior has amazing quints!! I'm slowly starting to ease off MAC into more high end brands.. YSL has amazing lip products and mascara, whereas dior has great shadows. MAC is still good for blushes and MSF's. But still.. Dior eyeshadows are fab!

Re: Dior cosmetics

But not all quints. I have Myriade and it's a pain in the ass to get all the colours show up on me
