Thanks so much for the info!!! I have been lucky enough in life only due to my mom's genetics to have pretty flawless skin. I truly am a somewhat newbie to Dior. I have several nail polishes. Remember the one from Holiday 2013 that you poured seed beads on top of the wet polish? Love it, but when I get bored at work it is just tempting to pick at the beads! I usually avoid the powder set step, but when I used the Dreamskin, it was to me just too dewy. So as a quick fix I used the loose powder.

I tried the less product and waiting before applying foundation, skipped the loose powder. I am so use to a matte finish, maybe that is the problem??? I have noticed my pores have reduced in the three days I have used it. Still on the fence if it is a keeper or not. I did use my Carnage blush this morning. Forgot a little goes a long way!!!! Had to tone it down a bit. Used Chanel Luna and it now looks OK to go out in the world!!

it's a very heavy swatch to show the color . it goes on pretty sheer you need to build the color. i think it would be perfect for medium skin tones. i am afraid it would be too bright on me. I am planning to wear it today

I'm going to play Debbie Downer for a moment.

Dior used to be one of those lines that I'd wait for news on their collections with baited breath. I think I picked up one polish from Spring, 2 shadows from Holiday, 1 polish from Fall, nothing from last summer.... it was last spring that I last went nuts on the collection (every polish aside from the topcoat, the Diorshow Fusion, the Rouge Dior, and the gloss). I've been loving the polishes from Spring 2013 as of late (I forgot how kick-butt Diablotine is!).

I guess what I'm saying is that it's been a long time since Dior has really captivated me with a collection. I'm really hoping that this changes soon, but I'm also wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way. Am I the only Dior Diva who hasn't been showing much love for the brand over the past year or so?

And to answer why, I'm not sure. I feel like a lot of their collections are too formulaic (take the holiday polishes- they're the same shades every single year essentially; there's only so many ways to do a coral red like Glory from Spring 2014, etc, etc). I want to yell "shut up and take my money" at them, but I'm just not there right now.

They've had a new creative director since last Spring, maybe that's the reason. To be honest, I've never been really excited about anything in the Dior collections but I've only been buying high end makeup in the past 2-3 years. Oh there was this palette in Fall 2013, I believe, with greens and blues and it was gorgeous but I didn't have the money for it at that time.

I think dior is really stepping up their game - 2 new liquid foundations, new concealer, new bronzer, settting powder, new loose powder... new formulation of nail polishes, lip balms, two new formulas of lip glosses...reformulated blushes... etc

See, this is where it's wonderful that we can disagree.

All of those new base products? Not interested. I have base products that work, and I didn't use Dior before. I'm also not a gloss person, so all of the new glosses don't interest me.

I can take or leave the "improved" nail polishes. I detested them for about 6 months (yes, I've tried multiple shades with multiple different finished), but I accept that they are what they are. Not an improvement in my eyes.

I'm still ticked off that they d/c the shimmer stars- one of the best products on the market.

I also don't buy that much blush- I have a few favorites, and it's an incredibly high bar to meet my standards. Dior hasn't yet.

So the areas where they're putting their focus simply don't overlap with my consumption patterns. I wonder if I'm just not supposed to be their customer anymore.

I am not a lipstick but a gloss person and I get excited if there are better formulas of glosses out there.
their nail polishes are the bomb. i truly believe there isn't anything better on the market and I am really big on the nail polish

base products are CORE of every single beauty company. It is the thing that makes them sales. If you get client hooked on the base they will keep coming back. color well anyone can make pretty colors.
Again I haven't tried their new base products so I can't speak if they are good or not but i like to see innovation

I agree on shimmer diamonds - it is my all time favorite makeup product. Ever.

I am a blush whore I can;t help it. Still don't have any of their new blushes just because i have gazillion blushes already

Also recently they released some very nice eyeshadow quints.

Again I have very high expectations from peter philips

My lady cuir cannage blush is going back. I look like a damn clown. It is so sheer and kicks up a lot of powder. when you try to build the color you end up like clown. At least on my nc15 skin.
another thing is it reminds me a lot of chanel malice and even more of that dior paradise coral duo from couple of summers ago - coral part looks exactly the same on me when applied.

I agree the Lady blushes Carnage are very powdery, and a little goes a long way. The new lip gloss should be tried. It is really not the typical gloss, it is like a lip balm, lip gloss, lipstick had a baby and this is it. It lasts through eating and drinking, feels great on my lips and since it is in the typical gloss applicator you can put it on without a mirror. And the one time dip does give enough product. It is me having to break the habit of dipping it in for more product during application.

The new Revival eyeshadow to me is super. A set of neutrals with a cool base. I would re-purchase in a heartbeat. I am waiting to check out the Sun Rise and Sun Set blushes and the tie dye lips. I love the over curl mascara. Again, this spring was a killer on my wallet. Too many lines did get it right!!!!! As for the new Nude Air Foundation, anyone who loves Armani Maestro should consider trying this. It like Maestro, but better.

You're right. Dior lost steam a bit in the last few years. I "blame" it on product relaunches and makeup artists switching. Eventually, those relaunches will end though and the "schedule" will remain. I am unsure if the makeup director switch can be fixed though. He used to be the Chanel one and I totally get what you mean by not being excited. I buy Dior, not Chanel. Even so, I don't think its too bad yet. It can get really bad though, which I hope it won't.

Kingdom of Colours wasn't all that, although I bought a lot of things from it. I bought the Rouge Baume Printemps because its a good formula, but its just like the many other coral pinks Dior has done in the past few years. House of Greens and House of Pinks are excellent, but there's nothing groundbreaking in it. The polishes were meh, Lady was cute but I didn't like it on my skintone, and the rest is already seen too much. I guess the only interesting things in it were Fairy Grey (I recommend checking it! You can use it alone or layering with other shadows for a different twist on them) and the Eclosion top coat.

The summer collection seems promising though. The blushes are pretty, there's those odd lipsticks that you as a lipstick person may like, and a pastel yellow nail polish (at least, I will enjoy that one). Depending on the 5-colours swatches (which if its what I think they are will be good), then the collection is looking quite solid. It is true the other two nail polishes are already seen too much though.

I so agree on the nail polishes - I prefer the previous formula by far. I find the gels prone to peeling at the cuticle and chipping/peeling at the base.

I wore Darling recently, and I love the colour but on the nails it looks almost jelly like and not the creamy opaque look I prefer.

I put on an oldie, Pink Graffiti, and on the nails the colour is so much richer and more thick/opaque,

Good thing I have quite a lot in the old formula to go through before I run out.

I have a few of the gels, but I would have bought way more if they were the old formula eg. I like the look of Wonderland and Bonheur, but have hesitated due to the formula.

Thanks for your review- what a shame.

I wore 003 yesterday and I noticed it was very easy to over apply and I ended up with way too much on and had to wipe some off with a tissue.

I'm around NC15 too - I hope this works for me, as I am ordering from the US and forwarding to Australia, I can't return it.

I think it will be ok, but once again, easy to over apply.

No Starletta---you're not alone. I love Dior but I don't recall purchasing anything from the holiday collection. I think my last purchase was the cheek & lip glow...I
wanted to like more but that just didn't happen. I love the Dior items that I have but there hasn't been much of late that has wowed me. Nevertheless, I'll keep looking
with the hope that some Dior gem will wow me yet again. My blush change 007 should arrive on Monday and I'm looking forward to loving it as much as I love my
other two changes.
