i am trying to understand why would dior ever need his help... or any youtube/ig guru. having peter Philips who is professional (someone who painted thousands of faces) and having lvmh money you can hire the best ppl in the business who create product ...

Peter Phillips can use those sponge tip applicators and do a great eye look in a minute lol
Totally off-putting.
More brands are gearing towards the IG makeup/ beauty blogger collabs if they have a high follower count regardless of reputation, actions etc

Someone in comments on the Beauty Look Book mentioned an upcoming nude polish by Dior called Powder Posse. Has anyone seen any pics of it?

Powder Posse is a Smith and Cult nail polish which Sabrina said looked like Dior Lady, which is one of her favorite LE polishes. (It's mine too. Back in 2015, a Specktra member--our own Ashievic-- was a total sweetheart and helped me get one of the last bottles of it from a Chicago Sephora.)

I got Powder Posse and it is a close dupe - maybe a hair darker but hardly noticeable on the nail. The other similar shade is TF Sugar Dune. I have backups of both Lady and the TF but will probably be content with the one bottle of the S + C. This is pretty much my HG nude shade as you can tell.

I would guess it has a lot more to do with the size of his following and the age group of his following. Their spend power is massive but they surely aren't buying Dior in droves. If he had a better reputation it would be a brilliant partnership for both (bottomline wise).

That's upsetting. I hadn't purchased from Beautylish for quite a few months last year, so they sent me an email asking why. There was just nothing I wanted at the time, but I used the opportunity to tell them that I thought they were better than JS and I was disappointed that they carry his products. Clearly they don't care.

As long as he "slays" and they get sales

About Jeffree Star, that's surprising. I've stumbled upon some of his reviews on Dior / Chanel, and I liked them. I'm stumped as to how he's going to help make the shade range more inclusive though. Oh well. As I've said in the CHanel thread, this social media models aren't for me, none of them.

The legitimate child of summer collection of 2012 (Croisette) and 2014 (Transatlantique). I'm not against this, they were some of my favourite collections. It feels much more difficult to work with, but after the chanel spring collection, I think this loudness is perhaps in trend even for these brands. I like loudness, but not at so many places all at once.

The nude compacts look nice. If the orange / pink is strong, they may double as blushes. The pink one looks so nice :), but I bet it won't come here. :(

The eyeshadows are very pretty, the brown one looks interesting the most (I see shimmer in the bottom ones). I like the Transatlantique version better, but I didn't get it at the time. There is a similar palette in the permanent collection that I was on the fence for, so I'll be able to check both to decide. :) The turquoise one looks flat and there's a similar one in the permanent collection as well, but I'll have to check because sometimes these pictures are very deceiving.

About the nail colours, 404 Splash must be close to 403 Saint Tropez (one of my favourite colours ever), 894 Blop looks close in tone to 800 Now from last year (though it's very far away in numbers). 541 Wizz must be more coral than red (reds are usually on the +700 numbers), 431 Pow must be an orange (448 Sunnies is a close number).

Yes
The first thing I though of was a mix of Sundeck and Aurora (and a bit of Blue Lagoon).

Well, some thinghs never change! This is what Dior always do for summer - an earth colored palette for the country side and a blue for the French riviera. I like it, but perhaps it is a bit unimaginative. :)

Like every four years they "relaunch" the collection.

In a way, Dior "relaunches" itself a lot, we're jut too young to remember. Just the other day, I was browsing some vintage magazines and I found many things I've seen recently. For example, since we're talking about this brown - orange combo.

Even the embossed pattern is the same! To be fair, everything has already been done, in some way, and orange with beiges-browns is a classic.
