Dior Cosmetics Discussion

I purchased #4 and #5 . They do not appear to be the same formula as previous releases and they seem more sheer and buildable. I'm around an NC15/Light Plus in MAC and #4 was not dark on me. #5 was very subtle on me to the point where it seemed to just be a pale shimmery powder with very little base pigment.

They don't come with the mini kabuki brush. I applied with my real techniques setting brush which works well with my other highlighters. I will try a more dense brush in future and see if the results are more intense.

I was told shades 1 and 2 are the same as the previous range. We never got #3 here but I ordered it from Nordstrom and it looks like the new #3 .

Has anyone tried the Face & Body foundation? I got a sample from Sephora and am pleasantly surprised so far. I don't usually like matte foundations but this looks like skin and the color is a good match. If it doesn't break me out, I may invest in a full bottle.

The Glow Palette is absolutely love and I saw the testers on store (they still didn't have the product itself to sell), it's HUGE.

The autumn collection is up on the international website.

The leather jacket the model wears is pretty fabulous, so are the looks (like an orange version of last year). It has plenty of odd but autumn-like choices that normally aren't seen on luxury brands (that mustard yellow nail colour is something). Many will be also interested in the new blushes and highligthers (these have been discussed here) that come out with this collection.

For me, I either don't like these colours or they're things I already have. Maybe one of the monos.

I thought I tried their mascara a long time ago but I can't remember if I really liked it. Is it?
I think their mascaras are a decade ahead of everyone else. Definicils has been the best selling mascara in the world for the past 13 years. Definicils gives definition and lenght and lift. My favorite is original Hypnose It gives beautiful volume (I do not like hypnose drama). New Monsieur Big is stunning if you like a lot of volume

the best mascaras I've ever tried

guerlain cils d enfer maxi volume (black tube)
lancome hypnose (original)
lancome definicils
lancome mr big
ysl shocking
chanel le volume (if you have patience to deal with clumpiness )
clarins supra volume

and always always use 1 . Curler (my favorite is Le curler from lancome but it's identical to famous shu uemura, shiseido is better for asian eyes, kevin aucoin was just ok, somewhat to hard to work with not gentle on the lid at all) . 2. lash primer (dior is garbage the worst ever), givenchy is good, but lancome cils booster is the best. also chanel primer - now i see they have the new one have no idea what's up with that but the old version is amazing).

btw new hourglass mascara is great too!!

I agree with your ratings! I had a sample of the guerlain one and I made it last as long as possible!!
Haven’t tried the YSL yet... maybe next time I will try to get some.

Thanks!!

sorry ysl is not shocking but SHOCK

 Yes! I also loved the deluxe sample I had of the YSL! Funny enough, I kind of liked the fragrance of it too...kind of a clean soapy smell.

I also really enjoy the Lancome Cils Booster. I like it better than the Chanel.

I've been meaning to change mascaras.

Which of them separates and gives volume, but doesn't enlogate them much?

I didn't realize they are replacing "old" nude luminizers. they changed formula and the packaging just like with the bronzers to make it thinner and lighter
