Drugstore brands to substitute for MAC foundation?

So over the past few months I have started saving up money. One of the things I would like to cut back on is spending on makeup.

I love using MAC studio fix liquid & powder on my face and finally found a good match for my skin tone, but I'd like to save a little money here, especially since a lot of drug store foundation runs from like $8.

I have tried matching myself to different foundations, but I am probably the worst at choosing a color at the drugstore, especially because they are closed-bottles.

For the studio fix liquid I use NC20 & powder C3. By chance has anyone found any good drugstore foundations that match around these two colors? Thanks, you guys rock!

Not sure about a colour match, but supposedly, Revlon Colorstay is similar to Studio Fix Fluid. Two formulations -- Combination/Oily and Normal/Dry. You can try the Foundation Matrix at Temptalia to find a close match. Another thing you can do is, when you go to the store, if you still have your SFF, take it with you, then pull it out and compare/contrast shades to find a close match.

I haven't tried MAC foundations yet but I heard that Revlon Color Stay is a great option. I have one for oily skin and I love it. I just don't use it much anymore because I prefer to use bb cream or mineral foundation. I've also read some good reviews on the ELF Studio Foundation on youtube. They said it has great coverage and one of the most reasonably priced foundation.

CS has been my staple for a while. You should also try Rimmel's 16hr finish foundation--it has medium to full coverage! Even better than colorstay!

I have indeed heard great reviews on Rimmel foundations. I can only speak for Revlon Color Stay, as I haven't personally tried Rimmel, and they really last for hours! My experience with Color Stay Combination/Oily is it can cake because it's oil-free so you need to blend it on your skin right away. Or you can apply it by sections of your face. For me using my fingers works better than using a brush because it helps to warm the product up and blends with the skin really well.
