I'm on the fence about the brushes. they look cute but I don't own any other low cost brand of brushes either I only have mac brushes except some older travel set brushes that I use for traveling and such and I thought these would be something I could mix up every now and then to spare my mac brushes a bit. I was thinking about the brush set without the roll for 50 dollars but now I'm not sure and also sad they are made in China and not in the US since they proud themselves being made there.
Yes, I was really hoping they were US made but then they arrived with China stamped on each handle. I just realized they gave me two blending brushes and no medium shader but I'm okay with that. I used some of the eyes brushes yesterday and found them to be a bit scratchy. The angled liner brush is the worst. I think the brush sets from Juvia's are much better. They are not super great but they seem to be less irritating on my eyes.

I'll have to use some of the face brushes to see how those feel. I've only used the small fluff brush to blend in the concealer and it worked fine. Wish it was a bit more dense but it wasn't scratchy.

Apparently CP is going to be sold at Sephora beginning in November and everything will be at the same price point. That's exciting!!

My latest CP order arrived. They even threw in a mini lippie stix in Trust Me due to the delay in shipping. I ordered 5 highlighters and one bronzer.

First impressions are the highlighters are super shimmery but not glittery. They feel very smooth but it's a drier smooth. They don't seem like they will apply super heavy and can be built up to desired effect. The bronzer is also super smooth but softer than the highlighters. Private Party is a satin finish so it has a subtle glow but no visible glitter. I haven't worn any of these yet so I cannot comment how they look on or wear time.

Left to right.
Top row: Freak Like Me, Velvet Rope, Total Package
Bottom row: Bae Area, Happy Camper, Private Party (bronzer)

Oh no trouble.. Colourpop at Sephora! I just got into this brand and OMG. I just did my 3rd order and already preparing for number 4. I would like to try the lippie stixs next. Then I need some eyeshadow singles and thanks to mollyv6 those highlighters are starting to call my name. Here goes the rest of my wallet

Just saw on Instagram stories that CP will be posting a bunch of new goodbyes tomorrow at 10AM. You might find some good stuff!

Not sure if this was asked already but has anyone tried the Crystal sprays with the matching lipstick?

I am thinking of getting Bae Area but it also looks like it might be subtle on my skin tone. Since I am warm undertone most bronze highlighters just soak up on my skin and appear subtle.

Did anybody buy anything today to get some of the 5 million followers grab bag items? I bought $40 worth and picked the super shock shadow, highlighter and glossy lip. I'm a sucker for anything burgundy-toned. I liked this promo as I got $19 worth in free products and spent $40 to get it. I know people thought it was too expensive to spend $70 to get all five items, which are worth $30, but I think that's a good deal. You get far less freebies elsewhere (i.e. Sephora).

I did! I wanted to skip it first but the gloss and highlighter pulled (ordered enough to add thr super shock shadows) me in. I ordered backups and some new brow products.

How do you sharpen the lippencils because when I sharp them up the lead comes loose so it looks like its falling out.

I did! I got all 5 items. I loved the colors of all the products. I will say that when CP does these special promo collections, the colors almost always seem to be universal. Only misses for me were some of the glosses for the birthday collection. They were just so so. I did like the green tinged one though. But don't believe that the 5 million products will never be offered for sale. While loading up my cart last night, I had already decided to buy a large palette and fill it up with highlighters for my next order before the promo was announced (good timing). I was browsing to figure out what else to get in order to get all 5 bonuses when I saw the first birthday shadow for sale on the site. When did that happen? I ended up adding a bronzer and a highlighter in a compact and 2 concealers to meet the $70 threshold. I hope they don't come out with anything else must have in the next month or so because I still haven't used all the shadows from this summer's haul.

I bought Yes, Please!, a couple concealers, and did the BTGO on ultra blotted lips, so I got the gloss, highlighter, and shadow free! I'm happy with the promos.

I agree about the colors. I didn't buy the birthday bag but I did score one of the glosses and two eyeshadows when they restocked recently. It's funny, I normally buy mid to high end stuff but something about CP just lures me in. It's become one of my favorite brands. The only item that I don't love is the concealer - dries down too fast and is too drying on my skin. Seems to work well for others, though. I don't hate it but it tends to get cakey on me. I cannot figure out how people apply all over and then blend it in. If I don't do one area at a time, it just sits in my skin and grabs all my imperfections. Oh how I wish I had younger skin!

Thanks for the heads up on the concealer. I got my replacement shattered Lightening Bug yesterday so I need to try that one out. I finally wore Arrow and Hot Toddy. Love those two! I hit pan on Arrow the first go though. I did use a brush. Maybe I dug in too hard. Looking through my stuff, I have quite a few never trieds. I'm thinking I may need to do an all Colourpop week or something.

I really like CPs new eye blending brush for their super shock shadows. I've tried quite a few synthetic brushes and none have worked as well as this one. It's shaped like the MAC 217 but picks up better because it's synthetic. I had a lot of the super shock shadows that I didn't like because they just didn't work and I don't like using my finger but this brush has really helped. I've haven't hit pan on any of the shadows but I have with the super shock blush as I tend to load up my brush with those.

Caved and bought the mile high set now that it's 50% off. Anyone else have this set and, if so, how do you like it?

I have it and I like them a lot except cricket which I'm not too fond of but that's just because I don't personally like that type of color

New eyeshadow Palette launching Thursday.
I just saw this on Instagram. I can't keep up nor should I. I will wait for swatches on this one since I am seeing a matte black which I do not want. The rest seem neutral as well. Guess we'll have to see.

That being said, I wouldn't mind a SSS palette with individual snap lids or something to keep the product from drying out. Now that I've found the right brush for these, I'm using and loving them!
