MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

I want to see Kanga Rouge next to Runaway Red.

That red nail polish looks so pretty in the bottle.

I am in love with Gaelic Gold, I completely ignored Tartan Tale.

I need you all to tell me what type of looks you can do with silver lipstick and lipgloss.

Shimmermint is glittery? LIke chunky fall out glitter? Or slight sparkles?
My recollection of Kanga Rouge is that it's much brighter- more like Russian Red or Heartless from Venomous Villains. You certainly wouldn't be repeating yourself if you had both that and RR.

Kanga Rouge is one of my all time favorite reds. Thank you MACGuy for the pics and the video. My list is surprisingly small. I'm definitely looking at you Shimmermint MES. I was going to get the Let's Skate pp until someone mentioned its similarity to the MUFE Aqua Cream that I already own. I'm actually interested in the Iced Delights Sultry Set. I usually avoid the Holiday collections for some reason this is the 1st time in my addiction that I'm looking forward to the release.

Sounds beautiful! I'll have to check it out.

I know for silver lipstick and lipgloss I like to put them over lip pencil or matte lipsticks.

From first swatch impression of Shimmermint there wasn't any seriously chunky fall out glitter but mostly slight sparkles and shimmer. Considering I did it without wetting the MES it stuck to my skin extremely well. Didn't notice any fallout when I moved my hand around.

but I do have heartless. I was once afraid of reds, and I am now addicted.

I'm afraid of reds for sure. But I've been wanting to get another one besides my Adora by Kat Von D to break my fear. I think I've found it in Kanga Rouge. I'm so excited to get it!

So I've never used a beauty powder before, but Snow Globe (the bp) is catching my eye, I just got Lightscapade do you think this is different enough to justify purchasing? I know they're obviously super different products, I just don't really own/use a lot of face makeup so I don't know if I should start buying a bunch of different powder / highlighters, this looks like it would be better for an all over natural glow though, if it isn't too shimmery (assuming that's what they're used for).

The snowglobe is interesting. I can't decide if it's cute or tacky. I will not be ordering. For me this is a check out in person collection. It does seem like there are a varity of goodies.

I meant the Snow Globe beauty powder, should have specified that a little better :p
I'm also unsure about the snowglobe packaging though, I'll have to see the swatches before I decide whether or not I'm interested in the palettes, the warm and sultry ones look like they could be nice..

Could well be both! Definitely one to check out in person. I know I wouldn't want a bunch of products in this packaging but I hope to find something I like. I like a bit of novelty but it's only novel if it's in small quantities.

Some Beauty Powders aren't shimmery at all. They tend to be fairly lightly pigmented and easy to use. Like MSFs, some of them can be blushes, bronzers, highlighters, or all-over colours depending on the shade and your colouring. They have a very different texture to an MSF. Just keep your eye out for swatches and reviews and maybe it will be something you'll want. I'm interested in that one myself - mostly because of the name:)
Good to know, thanks!
The more I look at it, the more appealing it gets, the white compact doesn't help

I think this is something I'll definitely end up wanting to add to my collection.

Thanks MAC-Guy for the video and pictures, I really like the squishy snowglobe now, it has grown on me. I like the swatches of the warm eye palette too.

i think it is both :)

Yeh you both are probably right and it's both. I hope to find something. But I agree I don't think I want very much in this packaging.

I usually buy at least a couple or so things from the holiday collection. I also like to have at least a l/s in the different type packaging. I didn't really start until a couple of years ago. I used to do that with e/s palettes but then I never use them. I think the first one I decided to skip was WW. I like quads better, either pre-made or switch out my other colors. Photo Realism has to be my all time fav on the pre-made quads.

I haven't been here in ages! I'm excited for lots of this collection, including the packaging! I have an absurd obsession with sparkly things. I'm like a bird, I swear! :p Thanks for the video, Mac-Guy :)

Hi, Engineer Barbie

Here is the story about a company, making brush for MAC and etc....  No more made in China.

Hakuhodo also make their own brushes, which are really nice. But I think the limited edition brush sets may be done by other companies? Not sure.

Lol, I actually collect snowglobes, so I will be grabbing at least one palette for my collection. :ymca:
