Guerlain Summer 2015

Turquoise and coral throughout. Not atypical for Guerlain, but I personally find it a little more colourful than usual... Includes new products and repromotes of permanent items.

I am simultaneously overwhelmed and underwhelmed by the summer collection.

The products look amazing, but I suspect aren't going to be that wearable on my pale skin. If my skin was darker, I would get another bronzer with a turquoise case, and the compact foundation too. If my lips were fuller, I would get both automatique lipsticks, but I suspect they are going to be too pigmented/neon.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I might just end up getting the nail polish!

I mentioned this in the other thread.

It's all about that nail polish for me. I spent so much during Spring that I'm ok sitting out a lot of summer collections.

Each year, I buy a lot of Spring, not so much of Summer, a tiny bit of Fall and a lot of Holiday. I have the feeling this year will be the same (but I have seen cool Dior things for Fall though, lol!)

I usually buy a lot of Guerlain's Terracotta Summer every year--even the skincare and self-tanners. It looks like a lot of those products are basically integrated into the permanent line. There's usually some type of extraordinary bronzer in addition--like Orient Sun from a few years ago (not my picture).

Loved that one! I went through two all the way to pan. This year, I'm not seeing anything in the same league. I guess if Guerlain is going to make its special items permanent, I'm fine with that. It spreads everything out over the year. I probably won't get much from Summer, but I'm just as happy to have their Terracotta items perm so I can use things without them becoming unavailable.

A few months ago I posted a picture of the bronzer with wooden packaging for this summer in the other thread. I haven't seen pictures of the one with flat top packaging yet, so I think that we still haven't seen the gorgeous impressive bronzers for 2015.
This one looks really pretty! I only started buying these three years ago, so I have the Pucci one, Terra Ora and Sun Celebration (and Terra Nerolia and Terra Tropica again from the summer collections).

I have to admit, I'm dying to see what the yellow lipstick looks like. I'm expecting a sheer golden tint, but I'd be curious to see if it is more yellow than gold.

I like the look of the bronzers, but I'm sure I don't need them. I have Natural Blondes in 4-Seasons, 00 in Terracotta and a couple of larger LE bronzers.

Not a great quality pic, but I thought I'd share my Guerlain babies.

It didn't occur to me that it might be a sheer gold. That I might be tempted by...

When I was in Shoppers yesterday they had the new Terracotta Natural Blondes and Natural Brunettes shades. The blonde shade is much darker than my other 'light' Guerlain bronzers (4-Seasons Natural Blondes and 00). They were in the more typical packaging (looked similar to 4-Seasons). I wasn't tempted by them.

Having said that, if these are the shades that come out this summer in special packaging, it's not impossible that Natural Blondes could come home with me. I don't need it so I will try to resist. Since I am batting precisely zero at holding out on Guerlain products I'm tempted by, I'm not too hopeful.

I've been bored with MAC and only getting the odd lipstick (usually BTM) for some time. Guerlain's four collections are a breath of fresh air to me; picking up 4-6 glorious items a year is a lot better than the frenzy that is keeping up with MAC launches.

Oh my what a lovely collection :) I know this is going to seem silly but if your blonde do you need to stick to the Clair colours And if your brown hair stick with brunette colour ? I haven't got a clue I have one sample of the one which came out last year with the four colours around it not sure if that was brunettes She had sold out so have me the sample that hadn't been used :) I was greatful for that :) But any thoughts I'm a nw22-25 in mac saw another girl on here whom was nw25 And bought one Any help thanks ladies :)

No, you can use whatever you want depending on the look you want to achieve. It also depends more on your skintone, not on your hair colour. I don't have any of the four seasons bronzers but I wouldn't buy the 1st shade or natural blondes, even though I'm blonde and I'm about NC20 - maybe even fairer.
