Guerlain discussion

If this is the summer 2015 bronzer, I'm passing. I don't find this appealing in the last, it looks like a stack of lumber. I'll stick to my Sun Celebration and Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow powder.

I hope this is a special edition thing and we'll see something prettier.
It didn't wow me either but I thought perhaps it might look more appealing in person.

I found this http://www.2luxury2.com/la-ruche-imperiale-160th-anniversary-of-the-guerlains-bee-bottle/

I remember I've seen pictures of a collection with bees, they might do something similar again. The meteorites box was beautiful.
Yes, there was a collection with bees a few years ago (for Christmas), I got the eyeshadows, Meteorites, voyage powder, Rouge G in Bee, the shimmer powder, a Kiss Kiss lipstick. Hope it's okay to post here a link from my blog from 2010 when the collection came out: http://pleasureflush.blogspot.co.uk/2010/10/guerlain-les-ors-holiday-2010.html

Plus this one of the promo pictures of that collection: http://pleasureflush.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/guerlain-les-ors-holiday-2010.html

I swatched the Baby Glow yesterday and while I loved the texture (and the lightest one matches my skin nicely!), I'm afraid the perfume is just to much for me. I went into another store after swatching and kept glancing around me to figure out who was that person who doused herself in perfume and realised after a while that it was the Baby Glow swatch on my hand! Ooops...
But such a bummer. I'd have loved to get it weren't it for the perfume. And I love the perfume of the Meteorites! But that's just too much.
Yes, I noticed the same thing as well. I used the shade Dore under my foundation just in my t-zone and I think the fragrance irritated my skin. I only used it for few days. The finished look is so pretty but its not worth risking my normally clear skin for it.

I'm fine with it as long as I wear it over another product---I can't wear it directly on my skin. I love it though.

I can't view these. Are you able to post a screenshot?

And some info about these:

"New Joli Teint Healthy Glow Duo Powder launching February 2015! For the girl looking for a glow! Each palette contains two shades that can mixed together for an overall healthy glow look. Available in four shades. That beautiful case in the left hand corner is a sneak peak of the limited edition summer collection. Two limited edition Terracotta covers. Shades in turquoise and coral adorn the terracotta in 02 and 03. The covers are reuseable. So cute."

I think you'll love Nahema (143) if you're into corals. :) Chant d'Aromes (103) is a nice beige-brown-nude-transformerwithshimmer depending on how it looks on people. Let me know how Bloom of Rose (162) looks like! I've been wanting that one since last year but there are barely swatches of that one online.

They do ship internationally but they can't ship brands like Guerlain outside of the EU :(

I was wondering if they were implying some kind of honey theme for the bronzer.
The honeycomb print looks nice on the bronzer. I think it has to do with the 160th anniversary of the bee bottle and an ancient perfume.

For anyone interested in reading about the classic bee bottle and other bottles, this guy has a nice long post about them: http://www.monsieur-guerlain.com/2008/07/bottles.html

Thanks for the explanation, mkoparanova! :) I'll pass on this particular bronzer, but I'm still curious about what's behind blue and/or coral cover case and the rest of the upcoming summer collection.

Thanks for posting Kaidan. I didn't realise there was so much history behind Guerlain and their products. Makes me more interested in picking up some of their gorgeous perfumes.

Now I might be able to get behind these---Of course I'll need to see the shades.

I'm not interested in these, I have too many bronzers, but I'll definitely get the summer one, I love the wooden packaging.

I agree - much nicer. I'm not sure I need another basic bronzer (I have Terracotta 00, 4 Seasons in Natural Blondes and Terra Ora) but I'm a sucker for the bronzer/blush combos. Even though it's the dead of winter, I'm still reaching for the couple I have.
