info: Hello. Thank you for your interest in MAC Cosmetics. My name is Barbara. How may I assist you?

natalie: Hi Barbara! I just have a few questions about some mac items.

Barbara: Hi Natalie. Sure, how can I help!

natalie: What kind of stuff does Mac usually put out during the Holidays? Do you know what the holiday items will be like this year?

Barbara: We usually have a full colour collection along with various brush sets, lip palettes eye eye palettes (all limited editions). I don't have details of what this Holiday season will bring but I'm sure our offerings will be fabulous.

natalie: OK, great! Also, I have no mac store nearby, so I have to buy almost all online. I'm having a really hard time picking out some basic eye brushes from just the online description...there are so many that seem to be for the same thing! lol What eye brushes fo you rec. for a beginner? I already have the 266 for lining, but I need some for the rest of the eye?

Barbara: I'm glad to recommend some essential brushes for you. The #266 is a great one to have. Let me put some others together for you.

natalie: great!

Barbara: I also suggest Brush #252 - for applying eye shadow to the entire eyelid and Brush #224 - for contouring and shading.

Barbara: Click here for the Brushes page.

natalie: That's great! I was so confused! I just have 2 more q's. How does the color of pure vanity l/g compare to russian red? also, do you know how the finish/effect of the star! iridescent pressed powder compares to that of the mineralized skinfinishe (the shimmery ones)?

Barbara: Pure Vanity Lipglass is a bright blue red while Russian Red is more of a taupe red, also with blue undertones.

Barbara: Star! Iridescent Pressed Powder is more shimmery than the Mineralized Skinfinsh and less pearlized.

natalie: oooh...pure vanity sounds like something I would love then!

Barbara: It's a beautiful one!

natalie: O.K., great! Thanks so much for your help, Barbara!

Barbara: You are welcome Natalie! Thank you for your visit. You may close the chat window by clicking the "Close" button at the top right once. You will be able to request that a copy of this chat be emailed to you as well as answer a few questions about your experience

taupe red

i would guess the taupe red would be a browny type of red, but with more grey in it than brown. does this make sense?
