Nars #6 brush, and rubbery cases on Nars blushes have gone all sticky - anyone else?

Hello Specktra-ites!

I've got a couple of questions for you. I aquired a Nars brush at some point, it's either a #6 or a #9 one. But I don't think they're made any more (which shows you how long I've had it!) and I have no idea what kind of brush it is. I've attached pics - I have no idea what to use it for! If anyone knows what it is, I'd be most grateful.

I also have a LARGE selection of Nars blushes, also a few years old. The rubber compact on them has gone really weird and "sticky". This has happened to the couple of Nars lipsticks I have, so it's obviously something to do with whatever they've used for the material of the packaging. I know these are all fairly old blushes, probably up to 10 years old, but it means I don't like using them, because, well, ewwww! Has anyone else got this problem, or is it just me? Is there anything I can do to clean them up without destroying the packaging completely? It's so frustrating because they're such LOVELY blushes and I adore them, but it makes me not want to use them :(

Thanks for any help!

Isabelle

I had an old Nars Ita brush that did the same thing! I brought it back to the store where I bought it and asked to exchange it. Since the brush is DC I would contact Nars about it. I absolutely cannot stand Nars packaging. It is the only brand where this happens.

Thank you so much, I never thought of baby wipes! (Is there anything they can't do?!)

Getting in touch with Nars about the brush is a good idea - I figure it must be really old, no idea how I got hold of it, LOL!

Thank you both :)
