NARS Foundation Match - PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok...I don't really wear foundation often but I love the description of NARS' new Sheer Glow formula and I want to try it out...my problem is that there are no Nordstrom stores in Louisiana and Sephora does not have the full range of colors. I have an employee discount for NARS that is 15% or for certain colors I could wait until the Sephora F&F for 20%...I just want the right color...so ladies please help as best you can! For reference I am NC45 and I wear Becca TM in Tobacco...I've also been matched to MUFE HD#173.

Here are the colors I am considering:

Tahoe - Medium-dark with caramel undertone

Cádiz - Medium-dark with caramel and red undertones

Macao - Medium-dark with deep yellow undertones

And here is me:

From the description it sounds like Tahoe would match your skin well

I was just trying to figure out my shade in NARS too, since the sheer glow formula got such awesome reviews... but im disappointed with the limited number of shades they have to offer. I might have to mix 2 foundation colors

which i hate

I think tahoe would be good, I am looking at that shade as well ( I wear C7 in MAC and Antelope in Prescriptives. The plus side is that it's a sheer foundation.

I think Macao would be your best match. I know someone who is an NC 43/44 and Cadiz is the shade she wears. Also I wear MUFE HD in 173 and Cadiz is too light for me.

Yeah Tish...I saw those photos. I called NARS customer service today and the rep said that they did not receive samples of the Sheer Glow Foundations yet. I think I'm just going to order Macao on my employee 15% discount from NARS and then order Cadiz with the Sephora F&F sale. The NARS rep said I have 30 days to return it. So I'll compare the 2 and return whichever one is not a match.

Im an NC30 and im already on the lighter end of the spectrum between ceylan and punjab... Your best bet might be Deaville since it has pink and yellow in it, i think fiji might be too yellow for you, and siberia may be too light...

Sephora: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation: Liquid Foundation

Edit: wow im glad i checked the nars website, it has a few more color selections compared with sephora.. Maybe you should try Mont Blanc?

My sister is between NC42-NC44 and she wears tahoe. I am trying to find a shade too since my dumb sephora doesnt have the sheer glow foundation yet! I think I may be between Macao or New Orleans

I agree with the suggestions above. I'd try samples of Mont Blanc and Deauville. I'm a light NC15 with neutral to yellow undertones and Siberia is just a tad light (but do-able) on me. My best match is a mix of Siberia + Mont Blanc. Can't help with the NC45 question as I've not seen anything past Deauville.

I'm just going to add to this thread, so we can keep all the foundation matches together.

I'm roughly an NC20 in MAC (wearing C2 in F&B right now, a bit dark, but my tan on my neck matches it well), I was matched to NC25 MSF Liquid a year ago, which is still a good match, and compared to my NC25 Studio Sculpt, I think MSFL runs light. (I will have SFF in NC20 tmrw to see how that works.) ANYWAYS, I'm wanting to order this foundation during Sephora F&F. My nearest store/counter is 2 1/2-3 hours away. I'm going to order 1 and if it doesn't work, we might be going to St. Louis in the next month, so I could exchange it.
In my MUFE HD I'm a combo of 117 & 118 right now.

Anyone near my color have any suggestions? I'm thinking Deauville or Fiji???

-Thanks

I was able to try this out in the store and Tahoe was way too light yellow for my skin (I wear MUFE HD 173). The outer perimeter of my face like my forehead is darker than my inner and tahoe made my forehead look kind of ashy looking but matched the lighter areas perfectly. But this foundation is so sheer, I could've gotten away with wearing that shade but I chose Macao instead cos it was an overall better match. I dont have strong yellow tones at all and Tahoe looked a bit off on me.

I'm lighter than you and haven't seen Fiji, but...one thing I've noticed with the shades I have seen is that they tend to run a bit yellow. Someone on MUA mentioned that an MA told her this is because of the turmeric in the formula, but I don't know how true that is/how much is really in there. Anyway, I'd go with Deauville for closer to neutral (but still more toward the yellow side of neutral) and Fiji for more yellow.

I'm a NW20 in MAC foundations, and I ordered Mont Blanc. It's a little on the light side - I have pink undertones in my skin, and I'm thinking Deauville would have been a better choice. Hope this helps someone :)

It help me, thank you! I've been checking swatches and think Deauville will make a perfect match to my skin (MontBlanc is too light!)

Finally! I managed to gwt to a Nars counter, where an adorable artist tried sheer glow foundation on my forehead. He considered Deauville, Ceylan and Santa Fe. The right one was Santa Fe, the other ones looked too yellow on me (MAC NW20). Btw, the foundation is great!
