I hate my Sephora in JCP. I went for the beauty before brunch event wanting to get a couple of new items that were listed as in stock in their store on the website. They weren't out on display yet, and they refused to go in the back and get them. Just said 'we don't have them in yet' when I said it says they are in stock here online, she says well we only got one shade (why does it say in stock for all shades) and pulls the one shade they have pulled out to play with themselves of the little drawer under all the coverfx products. It perfectly matched the sales girl (conveniently) but was way too dark for me. She said to come back Thursday and they will have everything out. I want to buy it NOW I don't understand why they make it such a big deal to pull something from the back. I don't want to come back to the store on Thursday! I also went again to get the new urban decay shadows on the last day of the sale. Asked a sales associate about the new urban decay shadows she says we have the moon dust but they sold out pretty quick. I said no they aren't moon dust they are regular shadows just new shades. Oh we don't have those yet. Well it says you have them in stock online. Well we have them we just haven't put them out yet. I said there are two shades I'd like to purchase. You can't just go and get them out of the back? She said 'I don't know if I have access' and she was the most knowledgeable in the store at the time. I want the shadows and I want the discount! You have them so sell them to me! I am just appalled at the customer service there. There was one other time I went to get the new mini beauty blenders and it was the same situation. They weren't put out yet and said in stock online so I went in and couldn't find them. Asked a MANAGER if they had them and she said 'not yet' which I knew was BS so I browsed the store and later asked someone else working and they didn't know what I was talking about. So I pulled out my Sephora app and showed her what they were and showed her that it said in stock. She said oh that means they are just in the back! Give me a few minutes and I can run and grab one for you! So the manager won't get it for me from the back but another sales associate will??? Wth!!!
That's so frustrating! But at least your sephora admits to having the items, the ones I frequent straight up tell me the product locator is WRONG every.single.time. "Oh, that's not up to date/accurate. We've probably already sold the items and the system hasn't updated or we are supposed to get them in any day, but it's not here yet." wtf, do I look stupid? Apparently so, bc that is the same song and dance I get each time I call or go in based on products found on the locator. I know the majority of the time the items are just in the back, but not ONCE has anyone offered to check in the back for me. And this is at multiple locations, so my area is just crappy in general.

Does anybody know of any palettes with mostly purples? It doesn't matter if it's at Sephora or wherever, I just wanted to see if I could find a palette with some good colors. If not I'll just buy some singles and throw them in my palettes.

The reason I do the majority of my shopping online! Its so not worth dealing with them.

Maybe the purple eyes times 9 Mac palettes? Small pans but a good selection of purples.

I use MJ Eat Cake with YSL tint oil whatever the peach color is! the tint joint aint so baaaad after all...UP SORRY COMMERCIAL OVER...GOTTA GO....
I like the peach scent but that's about it! Over-hyped & over-priced.

Well, my last package from the sale (Sephora Mermaid Tail Colorful Duo Reflects) was supposedly delivered at 1:22 yesterday. It's not there. I have my stuff delivered to my boyfriend's parents' house because I don't trust our neighbors where we live. His mom was out all day so she's going to check with the neighbors this morning. I hope one of them has it...I really don't feel like fighting with UPS and/or Sephora because the delivery guy couldn't take a moment to read an address correctly.

Ugh I had a package shipped to my mailbox in the US last year. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't there. The mailbox company gave me the runaround and I never bothered contacting Sephora though I've been wondering lately if it would be too late. Just seems like it would be such a hassle. I hope you get ahold of your package!

No he did NOT go there! The word "childbirth" should not come out their mouthes. I did it twice with no epidural, he would not even be here if that were him. GTFOH x 2!

Omg you brave woman! I wanted to go natural with my first but that back labour almost killed me! We're in the hospital and I could barely move and he was telling me not to be a baby. I would have kicked him if I could! Then he spent the actual delivery sitting in a chair in the corner of the room with his head in his hands because he was "overwhelmed". AAAAAHHH MEN!

Nordies customer service wont price match because it shows up on Macy's but you can't "add to bag"...the rep also mentioned theyve been getting price match calls all day yesterday for that item (thanks Trendmood smh)....then I called a Nordies store and they gave me the runaround and refused to sell it to me. I didn't really want it anyway so I gave up.

I just called back and complained to the manager. Problem solved!

I was just going to suggest the MJ palette! I have my eye on it for the November F&F Sale!
The MJ palette is EVERYTHING. It was my first MJ Beauty purchase, and it's gorgeous. Has a great mix of light, bright, and deep, as well as the slightly neutral shades for blending. FYI, the pics on Sephora's site aren't QUITE accurate (or I need to work on my monitor settings.... one of the two)... for example: the second shadow from the left is almost completely grey. Has a purpley cast to it.... but definitely reads as more grey (which I love).

I also have the MJ The Enigma palette, and if you don't have that one, you should try to snag it when it's in stock, too.

YUP! My Sephora used to do that to me. "Oh, that's never correct. It can't be updated." I used to believe it until another location was so willing to go in the back and get the items to sell it to me, no questions asked or hesitations. I was shocked. So now when they tell me it's not accurate, I always go: (as polite as I can be) "Really? It's never been wrong before. Usually it means it's in the back. Would you mind checking for me please?" And flat out ask them. They usually don't have an excuse not to at least attempt to look in the back for me, if they're not busy. Lately all the SAs have been busy doing makeup. Do all sephora SAs do color? I feel like my store needs more people who are just on the floor to help. I've been having to chase them down for help. If the first SA tells me no, I'll ask someone else and see if they say the same thing. I'll try to ask the manager if she's there, she's nice.

I can't wait to check it out. It was featured in one of those how-to Sephora videos at the bottom of the page and I thought "ooohhhh"

When I worked in store, people would come in all the time asking for items that were out of stock, even if they checked on the website for our stock specifically.
There are a few things that come into play with these errors, sadly when people steal there's no way for the computer to know, unless we've done inventory (I think it's done once a year)
Another reason might be that it is in the back, yes, but in my store unless OPS was in, we weren't allowed in the stock room. So even if I wanted to help, I wasn't able to.
If the item was new, sometimes there's a store launch date, different from online. We weren't allowed to sell it beforehand.
And the other, systems are wrong, one time someone called re the KVD perfume, ... we didn't even sell it .. lol...

So, yes I agree sometimes SAs suck, but most times we really can't do much if it's not out.

Thanks! My boyfriend's mom just texted me that her neighbor brought it over. Whew! Guess there's a new delivery guy in that area. I hope he gets it together soon. Sorry you never got your package...that really sucks. It might be worth it to contact Sephora. Maybe they'll surprise you with some super awesome customer service?
