I was considering getting the Golden Hour palette but I have neutral matte, warm matte, and paris nudes and some of the colors look like dupes. Is Golden Hour different enough from the others to be worth getting?

I think it is. I absolutely love Golden Hour and it's a great size. The colors are ALL usable. No duds here at all.
I have neutral matte, warm matte, Paris Nudes, Sultry Muse, Bridal Satin & Ribbons Boheme....and I still could not wait to get my hands on this little palette. The entire thing is just so....user friendly.

Ok, I saw both of those....I thought there were others I missed!
I actually bought the 9 pan Golden Hour palette immediately and I am head over heels for it. I love, love, love it!
I'm not interested in the big 30 pan palette....I don't need 30 matte shadows as I have the Neutral Matte and Warm Matte as well as a few Theory palettes, which have mattes, so I think I am set.
I am however crossing my fingers that Volume II is either all shimmers or a combination of matte and shimmers!

I was going to get the 9 Pan since the price was good but decided against after I saw the 30 Pan was going to be available on sale at the Makeup Show next month. I think there will be a Volume II at some point since this one is called Volume I. How long that will be, God knows? lol.

That's awesome. I'm probably the last soul not on IG.

Lol. I'm sure you're not. I follow a lot of makeup inspiration pages and family but it's times like this when I'm glad I have it. I don't do snap chat and all the others though. There's only so much free time.

Nope, you are not alone. :tee: I "ghosted" and deactivated all of my social media, except Twitter (for professional use) back in 2013. And I am 100% happier for it. In fact, more and more people are stepping away from being electronically connected all the time.

I hear ya! I have a few friends that have done the same. I'm one of those people that can have messages unread for days if I don't have time to respond so social media doesn't control me lol. I'm more wary about posting my face everywhere and using all these damn filters that I'm sure is part of a government plan to build facial profiles on as much people as possible. *conspiracy theory* lol!

I absolutely confess it was agony when I first gave up FB and IG. But I felt and believed I had more invested in my personal relationship with my now husband, than thousands of "friends" on FB. So over a not too long period of time, I got over it. I did not lose anything. If anything I feel like I have more meaningful interactions with people IRL and I have more energy and fun to participate in the interactions I have here. We are all passionate about pretty stuffs...so it's a good fit. LOL! I had a mini withdrawal the other day when Specktra was down...

Yeah, the face all over the place and people being up in my business...not a desirable thing either.

Yup. I hate when you're out and everyone's nose is literally down their phone. It's like don't people talk to people sitting next to them on the bus, train etc. any more? If I'm speaking to one of my friends and they're absent-mindedly checking their phone, I stop talking mid-sentence until they realise. When I'm out I also put my phone face down. If the person in front of you isn't the priority then why leave your house to spend in-person time with them, right?

I love this forum because it's not just scrolling and liking pics. It's still active interaction. Almost like having a pen pal from back in the day. Do people still have those? lol.

OK the Huda foundation: I love the formula. It is so nice and smooth and flawless. It doesn't cling to the skin at all and it feels like nothing on the face as far as the weight of it. I have one concern though: the color. As far as the color I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or not. I don't know if I'm still shook from being wrong about my Fenty shade, but I wish the shade I have was more golden. It seems to be more brown? I don't know because it's not bad at all, but I think it might have darkened me just a tad. I need to try the next shade up (it's called gingerbread and I like the sound of that lol). Also, the packaging does feel cheap. I forgot to mention that before but it looks like glass and feels like plastic. So those are my thoughts for now. I definitely recommend trying it out.

I found out Sephora F&F sale is Oct 14th - 21st. I chatted nicely with a SiJCP artist and she kindly gave me a card. I highly recommend talking to an artist if you go in store to get a card. ;)

So the real question - what are you going to use your card on?

tbh I was shocked to be given a card. I figured I would be waiting until the fall sale. The only reason l went in store today was to pick up 2 KVD Studded Lipsticks. They are being cleared out for $12. I could not resist. I'll have to visit my  list.

I'm glad that you were able to get a card so you can shop during the F&F sale! Also, thank you for letting us know that the Kat Von D Studded Lipsticks are being cleared out at close to half the price! I picked up 4 lipsticks in my favorite shades!

Hey ladies. Colormefab was the cutie that hooked us up! She came on earlier this year saying that she had gotten a job she wanted and was really enjoying but it meant she was no longer working with Sephora.

I stumbled across a couple sephora employees on IG who were offering to enter email addresses in exchange for following them on IG. Small price to pay lol. I ddidn't post about it earlier because I wasn't sure they would respond but they both did. One of them, who is really lovely, posted today saying she could take more email addresses today. Her IG handle is _makeupbyjojo. She also said she would keep my email address in her file and would automatically enter it again next year! The other employee I contacted has the IG handle rishito. I'm not sure if he's still taking email addresses, though.
I can't believe I forgot about this. I was just in Sephora but decided to just order online. Now I'm trying to curb my cart. Ooh if someone had given me a code I would have bought in store. Any one hear of anything please post or PM me.

Oh my gosh! The KVD lippies, I totally slept on those! But I guess good things come to those who wait. I bought 3 this week: Adora, Thin Lizzy and Gothika! Love love love em!

As for the F&F I am going to wait until later this week before I go in and choose some goodies. I think I may just pick up a couple things and still wait until the big fall sale to do real damage...LOL! I figure my wallet will suffer less this way ;)

If I hear anything I'll let you know. Sometimes they have extra codes left over so if they post anything will definitely share on here.

I had to chase down these Huda foundations in NYC this morning. I had one lady in one store tell me she doesn't think Huda makes foundations (really?) and another tell me it's online only. I finally found a store and had someone try to match me. The MUA said gingerbread looked too light although I didn't get a chance to see so she put the cinnamon shade all over my face. That one is a bit too yellow. Not too yellow that I couldn't leave like that, but you know. Anyway I got a sample of gingerbread and I will try it for myself tomorrow and see if I need to order it. Otherwise, I just don't have a match. I can't trust MUA's or Sephora lighting. How sad is that? I looked at the first shade I bought, myself in store and thought it was right until I got home and the MUA this morning went and grabbed one of the darkest shades first while looking at my face. Man, I tell ya...

(Oh and the reason I didn't go to the Sephora I bought the first shade from is that I have to get there by car and I wasn't able to today)
