Sephora Professional Brushes or other brands?

Anybody try any of these?I have a large number of these and they are just awesome. I had been buying them individually for a while and my favorite is the stippling brush. I also bought the delux anti-bacterial brush set recently as a carry along touch up set and was impressed even though they were synthetic. Anyone try any great non MAC lines that they were impressed with,or "store brands" like Sephora's?

I have a few Sephora brushes and I like them. Got 'em all on sale, so it makes it even sweeter.

Almost all of my brushes are from Sephora, and I love them! They're as good as any other professional brand IMO, and go on sale quite often.HTH!

I think the Kirkland Signature Makeup Brushes are the most underrated brushes out there. I bought my 2nd set (one for home, one for travel) and they are soooo nice. I thought I was a 'MAC-only' brush gal, but once I got the first set as a gift I had to get myself another set. It's around $21.00 at Costco. The bristles are soft, fluffy, and the foundation brush is awesome!!!!! The kit comes with a brush roll, kabuki brush, and mineral shimmer powder too!!

sure mac has great brushes, but that doesnt mean theyre the end all be all of all cosmetic anything.

I have a couple of eyeshadow brushes that I bought from Walmart that I use practically everyday! I forgot what brand it comes from but it kinda looks like a blending brush, but smaller yet really soft.

I bought a brush set from Trish McEnvoy that was my starter set, but I absolutely LOVE. It's so incredibly soft, but I need to buy MAC brushes too because I'm so impressed by their quality! Buying brushes can get quite addictive!

I bought a set of Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target and I was impressed. I just got the travel set though, I want to buy the other ones with the cool looking handles.

I have a few brushes from Sephora... if I remember correctly they are:

Mascara Brush http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...ag inate=true which is nice for brushing the brows.

Professionnel Platinum Point Smudge Brush #16 http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true which I use to apply & smudge powder liner onto the upper/outer and lower lash line.

Professionnel Platinum Small Shader Brush #17http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true which I use to apply crease color to my eye. I find this brush works better than a typical crease brush.

Professionnel Platinum Smokey Eye Brush #24http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true which I own 2 of, but haven't used yet. (I got them as gifts....)

Laura Mercier:

Flat Eye Liner Brushhttp://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true which is great for tightlining using gel or cake liner. (I bought mine for $10 less at
ebay.gif
)

Brow Definer Brushhttp://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true - also bought for less on
ebay.gif

Bare Escentuals:

Maximum Coverage Concealer Brushhttp://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...ag inate=true - nice for concealing larger areas with "wet" mineral concealer - bought on
ebay.gif
for cheap.

Precision Concealer Brush http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true - a decent brush for concealing small blemishes - also bought on
ebay.gif

Handy Buki Brush http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true - which I occassionally use to apply a little extra (dry powder) concealer to larger areas. -
ebay.gif
again.

Heavenly Face Brush http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true - grrrrrrreat for applying Mineral (powder) foundation - yep... also bought on
ebay.gif

Heavenly Blush Brush (which I can't seem to find online right now....) It's basically a smaller version of the Face Brush above. Great for applying mineral blush.

Heavenly Eyeshadow Buffing Brushhttp://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...a ginate=true - not to be confused with the BE Flathead E/S Brush.... although it does look a little like it. I use this one to apply a wash of mineral e/s....

Wet/Dry Shadow Brush http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...ag inate=true - I won 2 of these, but can't seem to figure out how to use them well. (They were gifts....)

Vincent Longo:

#2 Lash Definerhttp://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...agi nate=true - is da bomb for combing through mascara clumps.... Be careful; the metal teeth are sharp! I did use an emery board on the tips to make them less "pokey," but they can still hurt, if not careful. I still love this comb, though. It's sooooooo much better than the plastic or brush-type lash combs. This one really separates the lashes.

I also own a ton of brushes from Paula's Choice, (the older versions of)Maybelline and Essence of Beauty and a few others I can't think of right now.

I have them too ... however, for me they shed like no tomorrow. But, could just be the set I happened to get.

The Sephora stippling brush is the same as MAC187,exept five dollars less, and the color doesn't wear off the natural hairs....This brush can apply liquid makeup with the synthetic ends, buff with the natural boar underneath, apply powder by bearing down onto the boar, and then apply blush and highlighter. Very versatile. I had a number of Bare Essentuals brushes, They are scratchy and shed. The individual brushes from Sephora are manufactured by the same folks making NARS and MAC brushes.

That's good to know!!

I've actually used Sephora's Stipping Brush a few times, whilst "playing" with makeup in the store. (I applied powder foundation, loose powder and blush with it.....)

I would have liked to try out the MAC #187 (for comparison) but my local MAC counter (at Macy's) doesn't let you "play." (They do have SA but they always "seem busy" and are not very helpful.)

I DO NOT like Sephora brushes. I was at the store and looking at the skunk brush and to be honest, I thought the 187 SE from the sets felt better! I also looked at a retractable lip brush and an angeled blush brush, and my god, the bristles felt so cheap and awful! I couldn't believe it. They're not that much cheaper than MAC, I'd personally just go with the MAC ones or some other brand. I thought the Beauty of Essense brushes from CVS felt better than the Sephora brushes!

Japonesque has nice ones. I've got their fluffy eyeshadow brush (so damn soft <3) and their foundation brush.

I'd love to get a blush brush from them, tbh.

I have a combo of MAC, Sephora Pro and a couple of Crown (be careful of the Crown's, they aren't all made equally)
