Since they are getting rid of the lustre drops & the strobe lotion, does anyone know if they are going to replace them with something else for the summer?
Or if they will bring back the golden elixir stuff?

I placed an order on Crystal e/s, Seedy Pearl e/s and Pink Swoon Blush about two weeks ago and got them. I have been wanting to try them for the longest time and now will need to purchase Pinch O' Peach blush on Nordies since it's not on MAC's website anymore. Thinking about ordering the Golden Bronze Loose Powder and the regular Strobe Liquid.

I personally never liked pink swoon I know it was a cult fave but I always thought it was way too dry! Nars have a lot of blushes in that colour family much better in my op

I'm kinda shocked they discontinued so much at once. Luckily my faves are still safe thought. I wonder what determines whether or not they discontinue an item?

I had to back up Vibrancy Eye x2! Wondering if I should get more? I hope this means they are replacing it with something better, that's why I'm nervous to stock up too much. But then what if there's NO replacement?? VE is such a unique product! I'm sad.
Never got around to trying the regular Strobe Liquid but I love the summer version (Golden Elixir). Guess there's still Strobe Cream if that helps anyone feel a little better?!
This is my issue too! I don't want to stock up if there's something right around the corner that's even better.

It would need to do all the things Vibrancy Eye does PLUS MORE:

  • Depuff with caffeine
  • Brighten with reflecting pigments
  • Tint with that pale salmon peach color, without being too pigmented
  • smooth
  • prime
  • cream/liquid formula - not powder, not full liquid

Geez, that's a tall order. I double checked to see if Clarins made anything along these lines, but they don't. I'm not too familiar with other brands that might do this sort of hybrid primer/skin care, but if anyone else knows something comparable - especially if it was ALSO moisturizing and/or had SPF…those are the only two elements that Vibrancy Eye is missing and honestly I don't really need it to be moisturizing (SPF would be rather nice, but would probably change the texture and make it not appropriate for photos, though).

I go through a whole bottle every 9 months or so. Even when I'm not wearing eye makeup, I'm wearing Vibrancy Eye. Ugh, I guess I'm going to be biting the bullet and backing it up galore. This is beyond dumb.

Tall order is right!!! I already grabbed 2 backups w my last order... I guess I'll keep adding 1-2 to all my orders until it's gone?! Is that even right?! I'm worried it will go bad before I can use them if I get too many! How many will you grab?! I don't understand this at all!! Stomping my feet & throwing a 3 year old tantrum!!

i picked up pink swoon as well. there are just some permanent items that you think MAC will always have so you wait to get them.

I've found these explanations on MAC's website:
h_discontinued_products.gif

We apologize if your favourite M·A·C Cosmetics product has been discontinued. Please be assured that before doing so we take into account many important factors:

1. Another similar product has been developed which we feel provides better performance.

2. One of the ingredients used in the manufacturing process has been discontinued by the supplier, and we have been unable to find a suitable alternate.

3. Customer preferences, purchasing patterns.
You can shop for discontinued M·A·C Cosmetics products while supplies last within Goodbyes.

Since I go through a bottle every 9 months, about 7-8 probably would be enough before something better cropped up, but I'm probably getting 10 lol. So dumb. I need to check out some of the rose products from By Terry. They're much more expensive, but some sound like they might do the same thing as Vibrancy Eye, perhaps with a little extra skin care benefit thrown in.

I know I have switched my eye cream to a new product from Rodial that uses synthetic bee venom and massively depuffs and brightens the eye area. It doesn't have light reflecting particles or color correction like Vibrancy Eye, but it's so good at the deputing and brightening the skin tone that it makes it a little less important to rely on Vibrancy Eye. BUT, I AIN'T GETTING ANY YOUNGER, so V.E. is still going to be important down the road.

Again, if anyone knows any other companies that do something like it, maybe Laura Mercier or Hourglass?? I would be willing to spend more per bottle just to have a product I know I could rely on being around, rather than overstocking BUs of VE.

It's frustrating especially because Fast Response cream is such utter dog poop compared to Vibrancy Eye. That's the formula that should have been discontinued or at the very least, reformulated to not be disgustingly thick like vaseline.

So sad about Vibrancy Eye. It was my go-to daytime eye "cream". It disappeared so quickly from the site..

I did a live chat to ask about alternatives, and was told "Prep and Prime moisture eye gel mixed with strobe cream". Prep and Prime moisture eye gel does not exist. I went back to live chat, and was told that she must have meant mineralize charged water eye cream.. I said that I already had that, and didn't like it all that much.. The live chat person replied "Great! I love mixing it with strobe cream".

I'll be around stores/counters in a couple of weeks. I will try to find my beloved Vibrancy Eye.

If I cannot locate it, any suggestions on a good replacement? I'm looking at the Dr Weil for Origins Mega Bright.. I may have to get a sample. I would prefer a pump product though, and this sounds like it may be a bit heavy for daytime.

i think that maybe l'oreal revitalift miracle blur for eyes may be kinda similar, judging by the miracle blur for face which has a siliconey feeling to it.
