MAC Items Being Discontinued in 2016

I purchased Brown Script and Handwritten (for the first time) the day the refillable pans were discounted to $6 and I'm saddened that they are discontinuing these shades so soon after I finally took the leap and purchased them. I just bought a backup of both shades in addition to 2 Fig. 1s. Both Brown Script and Handwritten are currently out of stock right now so I'm hoping that they will be able to fulfill my order as both shades have not yet been tossed into the Goodbyes section. Although I'm pretty sure that it's set in stone that they will be discontinuing these colors since they've already taken the liberty of contacting Christine to let her know, I wish they would reconsider. It doesn't really make sense to discontinue popular shades like this. It seems counterproductive.

So I just had a mini freakout, and ended up ordering two backups of Typographic. It is the perfect inky blackish shade on me, and the one I have now is down to a rim around the pan. I have used it so much!

i also ordered Handwritten, I thought I had it, but after checking my stash, turns out I don't! So that was Pure FOMO on my part.

so did i , lol i ordered 4 blanc type yesterday. Wanted to get a b/u of brown script but its oos
I live chatted mac and they said there's nothing about them being discontinued, even though they are never accurate with info. Id like to believe that because i use BT every day, and BS is my favorite of that shade nothing else compares

Just came from the Mac store and the MA took me through the drawer of pans. They colors marked that were discontinued and I think Mylar was one of them.

Ahh shucks, when they discontinue items i get all frantic and wonder if I need to run to my store and pick up multiples of what they're discontinuing.

I heard a MAC employee say on her YouTube channel that MAC was discontinuing 31 shades this year... that includes all the shades (Mylar, Kid, Bamboo, etc.) that were discontinued earlier this year and the matte2 shades. All of her followers were begging her to share the whole list and she said she would make a video about it.

It's Puffin's Wife on YouTube. She talks about it in her most recent MAC haul.

I think MAC has already discontinued about 15? or so shades this year. So in addition to the matte2, there are likely 10 or so shades that haven't been marked as DC yet. MAC did discontinue some (Vibrant Grape, bitter, and digit) with no warning.

No stores in my area have Matte2 pan refills and the regular form eyeshadows are difficult to find. Ugh I'll have to start stockpiling brown script. I'm sure we'll see them again in future collections but I just can't believe it. The MUAs were all surprised about it too.

I though the cremesheen lip glosses were gone months ago, but I just saw a full display in store...maybe just certain colors aren't available anymore.

When I was at the store yesterday buying the final shadow for my collection (yup, holla!), the SA told me a bunch of the regular mattes were being DC'd- she claimed that Corduroy, the shade I was picking up, is not long for this world.

Take it with a grain of salt.

I noticed today that typographic is just gone :|
I don't get why they would DC something without marking it. Maybe they sold out sooner than expected and didn't want to order a new batch.
