"unplanning" pregnancy and the dreaded two week wait

Hi!!! I don't know how many Specktralites are trying to concieve TTC? My fiancee and I tried one month to plan our pregnancy and i was so excited. I was always looking up any 'symptoms' i had and it drove me mad! When we tested, i was so crushed to see the negative result and it depressed me for awhile. We decided to hold off on babies for a year and this year, we are finally ready.
So a new solution was to "unplan" the whole pregnancy thing. just to go with the flow. this is our first month on the plan and am on the two week wait period. I have to say there's less stress involved because we're not 'really' trying.
Anyone else tried to do this and just let nature take care of itself? How did you try to survive the dreaded Two week wait and not go nuts on 'symptoms'?

Oh heck! Easier said than done! Even if i am trying not to obsess about everything, i can't help myself! I'm reading pregnancy signs and comparing it to myself. Ugh! I'll be so excited if it's positive though

Good luck!

I'm most certainly not planning myself but I wish you all the best! I'm always jealous of people who know one way or the other that they want children.
I never know and think I will be indecisive too long to have them in the end. lol

Maybe you need a distraction from thinking about being preggo?

Oh and also, when you do!! You totally have to fake up some insane cravings to get your man on his toes!!

To be really honest with you i never thought i had the mothering instinct. I met my fiancee and suddenly i could see myself being a mom, with him by my side. I suppose for me it was meet the man, then get the baby:) oh for SURE there'll be some faking of cravings going on! When can one get totally spoilt with a good excuse other than when pregnant? Funny thing, this cycle i've been feeling less symptoms than usual. It's kinda like there's nothing too weird going on:-( am kinda like GIVE ME SOMETHING lol

Good luck in TTC!!

Don't get discouraged hun, it takes the average couple 6 months to 1 year to conceive, enjoy the last couple time and your fiancee have together, soon it will be all about the baby. If you were on birth control for a while your body needs time to flush all of that out.

My last pregnancy was unplanned and unexpected and i didn't find out until i was 10 or 11 weeks pregnant and i swear the moment i found out, morning sickness just appeared out of no where. i think a lot of the time too much thinking makes us delusional

I hope it works out :) i promised my fiancee i'd not be obsessed but it's hard! I've finally decided not to test until i miss a period. That way i'll be almost sure the test turns positive. I'll try to be patient though it's not one attribute i have but boy 6 months is LONG!

Stressing might delay your period a bit then you think you're pregnant and if you find out you're not it'll be more stressful and another might be delayed too. Just enjoy what you have now and know that most people who are trying to conceive do eventually get pregnant. So just have fun trying and be patient.

Update: So went to the hospital i wantg to deliver to book an appointment for my first antenatal visit. Ugh!!! Imagine they usually don't start antenatal care until 16weeks of pregnancy!! Disappointing because i was so excited to start. Oh well, i think i'll have to go somewhere for an ultrasound maybe at 8 weeks.

Thanks! Told both sets of parents and they're so happy to become grandparents. My dad was so happy! They just said, it'll be good to have a baby we can play with, spoil rotten and return to parents when it cries lol!
