Buying MAC products out of MAC.co.uk

Hi everyone

I think i made a mistake on my first try on this lol, Right i live on the Isle of Man (In the middle of England and Irland) and we dont have a MAC store, I do buy alot of my items of MAC.co.uk or instore when i am over in England (once or twice a year if that). At the moment though i am wanting to add to my collection with discountinued or limited edition pieces i have missed (the first being Mi'Lady. I really dont want to buy of ebay as dont want any fakes. Does anyone know where online i can find discountinued or limited edition items which are not fake? even if it is ebay?

Specktra has a “Clearance BIN” “For Sale/Swap Forum” where members sell current and LE items. Also, as soon as you have 20 posts, you can start your own wishlist in the “Want Ads, Wishlists & CP Requests forum“. I haven’t been using MAC that long and I have bought some past LE items BNIB and some used items for great prices from fellow Specktra members.

Also, there is a “Clearance BIN Europe” Forum.

I don’t know of any website you can buy past LE items from.

I don’t know the geography of Great Britain, but there may be other threads about CCOs in your country. Members who go to those CCOs report what they’ve seen and purchased.

I know that eBay is a real minefield for many MAC products, especially eyeshadows and pigments, but you're more likely to be safe with items which came out in limited edition packaging such as Lure, Moonbathe, Heatherette etc. I would also imagine that any of the mineralize products such as the MSFs and MES would be hard to fake, so it seems likely that if you spotted a Mi'Lady on eBay, it would probably be ok.

Unfortunately, I'm not near any of the UK outlet stores which stock MAC so I've not been to any of them personally, but as lsperry suggests, they'd be a good source of genuine MAC at slightly discounted prices.

Looks like I was probably too hasty in suggesting that MES would be okay - seems that these have been faked too!
