Highlighter Help

I recently bought MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter Pen in Bright Forecast. I originally wanted Light Boost (I'm an NC20 in winter, NC 35 right now at my darkest in summer), but the MUA said it would be too much gold and not look natural at all. I wanted a slight glow, but something I could wear out in the daytime and not feel overdone. I like Bright Forecast, but I feel like I need a little more light. It's not enough contrast with my contour (I use BB Compact in Refined Golden).

I also have Cream Color Base in Pearl, but haven't really ever figured out how to use it without looking too greasy.

Is there another MAC highlighting product (or other brand) that would have a slightly peachy undertone rather than yellow? I want more highlight, but not more gold. I would prefer a peach rather than a pink undertone only because I have a lot of redness I fight with on my face to begin with.

How were you using Pearl CCB? If you were using your fingers, try a brush. Something like a 130, perhaps?

I have been using my fingers. I actually have a 130 brush in the mail and it should be here tomorrow. I'll try that!
