MAC Eyelash Curler - lashes fall.

I am new to curling my lashes. I've always been a little scared to do so. I caved and bought a MAC curler. Well, I don't know if this is normal, but my lashes look great for about 2 minutes, and then they fall. It doesn't matter which mascara formula I use ( all mac ) or none at all. They just fall back to their normal position.

What gives?

I have a mac curler also. I use my blow dryer to warm it up a little before I use it. That seems to help.
