The second part of the collection is single items like lipsticks, MB and MES. The collection info is located here.

i will check when i go back to work on thursday. i honestly don't think they are half and half. i think its just the reflection of the trim and zipperpull, like my update book says.

but i'll double check.

are there brush sets this year? What about the fancy collection that comes out around November (couture, stylistics) - is that happening this year?

There will be three brush sets this year.

The Couture collection will be Baroque Boudoir.

Look in this thread starting at page 113 or so. You will find infos and pics there.

Hi,

I'm fairly new and haven't joined in on any discussions. I got to
peek at the collection early today and play with it. They wouldn't
let me take pictures. I did a quick review on Marlena's page.
Here's the link:

Makeup Geek • View topic - MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Review

The bags are a silvery shade or chrome and then have pink or
teal trim with a matching bow. It also has some sort of round
ball attached to the bow that matches the trim and it says MAC
on it. I didn't notice them being two different shades. But, I also
had two MUAs standing over me.

Also, the eyeshadow palettes are okay. I think the warm
one isn't worth it though and the other three pass. The warm
palette looks like it has a washed out version of Sumptuous Olive
in it as well as a washed out version of maybe Flip. The best one
is the Sorceress palette because it has a rich purple in it, a shadow
that's a gray version of Vex, a light sort of lavender shade, etc. If you
have any questions, let me know. The deep purple in this palette
looked really pretty in the pan. It kind of reminded me of the finish on
Starflash shadows. It's a deep purple without a black base. It
looks like Top Hat's cousin in that it's deep, but bright like a violet.

I'm so confused.

Which thread is which? I just posted in the other thread (Magic, Mirth, Mischief - Colour Collection) that I went to the launch and only bought Smoke and Mirrors Eye Shadow and Surprise Me l/s. I'll post pics tomorrow.

As I said in the other thread, buying lipsticks at night under those harsh lights is not easy. I'll have to go back when the collection becomes available later in the month.

I went to the launch party tonight and the collection does look better in person than in the pictures. The MES don't seem as gritty as previous collections. The shadow palettes are pretty--and the packaging doesn't look cheap looking in real life. I got the Put a spell on you pink lip bag (SOOOO CUTE and i love the colors) and two of the eye palettes (devil may dare & smoke and mirriors).

I think there's something for everyone--- one thing about the mineralized kits-- they come in a box and no real special packaging or bag. But it's still a good deal. I do wish that they just had the MSF's on its own...

Ok ladies. If you are in the Raleigh, NC area, please send me a PM if you would like to attend our Private Event where we will be featuring the sets and allow for you to take home! I am in LOVE with the lipglass and pigment sets! I didn't realize how HUGE of a collection this is until we set up the displays!
