seriously, when I see what you have, I feel less lonely in my madness ... don't worry we are all a bit crazy about our passion...

but we understand each other here !!!
... Today I spent part of the day labeling my Mac quads and Chanel quads/blushes so that I can see the names and can easily pick them (the reason I do not use them a lot is because I have to spend a lot of time looking for the one...)
I see you keep some in the boxes... well done ...
thanks for sharing !

Using the term "porn" to describe a slew of product pictures is not my genius-at-work; I first saw it used on the LiveJournal make-up boards by "slave2beauty" (Specktra: "ledisxo"). She has quite an eye - her photographs of consumer products are indeed "eye candy" and can certainly evoke feelings of "lust" *ahem*...she has nearly 12,000 followers on Instagram (as "slave2beauty")- it's insane! Check out her pics - they're yummy...

...RE: saving boxes - it's so much easier to stack/store rectagular objects. I wish I had the foresight when I bought my first tube of MAC lipstick back in 1991, but who could've known it would become a quasi-obsession. The MAC Rep at Nordstrom San Francisco Centre ought to have warned me about it, dammit! From what I remember, the MAC "counter" was basically lipsticks/lipliners, brushes (*swoon*), and foundation/powder. There couldn't have been more than 25-30 lipsticks from which to choose (certainly not as overwhelming as it is now). And a tube of lipstick was ~$10 with tax. Ah, memories...I bought my first loose set powder from that counter (C5, DC'ed). So, of course, I needed to purchase a powder brush...and why not a lip-brush for my lipsticks! My first brush purchase included the "150" and "316" (back then, the "10"? and "16"?, respectively - different numbering system). The powder & 2 brushes set me back ~$55 total, which was an arm-and-a-leg for a starving college student!

Sorry, I digress...I just remember tossing all those boxes back in the day...all those lipsticks rolling around in a drawer...so annoying. Anyway, thanks so much for looking and for sharing!

It is quite a lot of good quality stuff! These pics were taken after a major destashing - so what you see is the "cream of the crop", so to speak! I've seen collections/vanities FAR more impressive and pleasing to the eye. I selected the industrial faux-Metro shelving unit w/huge castor-wheels and plastic storage bins b/c of the very limited space in my loft. There is NO room to "nest" and "build-out" so I had to "build-upward" - just like the high-rise in which I dwell...

...if I posted pics of my wardrobe/clothing collection (*phew*), then you can really say "WOW THAT IS SOME COLLECTION!!!" But, this is a make-up comm...

Wow that is some collection!!!

Before I do anything drastic (again), I just wanted to check-in with you guys to see if you have any comments/suggestions!
I will have to update pics of my artist-kit/train-case soon (click here for quick access to original post) b/c I'm going to DE-stash (again) and RE-organize (AGAIN!) all products in pans into (real*) free-style palettes (finally)!
*I say "real" b/c I've made my own "free-style" palettes (see pics below), but they're not deep enough for all pan products (for example, any creamy products...my cream foundations/concealers and my M·A·C Cremeblushes & Cream Colour Bases would stick to the top/lid...so annoying!)

I like the UNII Palette, but it seems they would be too bulky when stacked. I think I'd get a couple just for "on-the-go"/"to-go"-type situations - like when I have just one client and I know exactly what they want/I need.

So, I think I'm going to invest in a bunch of PRO Palettes by Z Palette. I like that they're made of recyclable materials. They're thin & stack-able. The clear lid makes products easy to access, plus the lid can be opened & folded under the bottom.

INPUT/THOUGHTS (before I hit the "Confirm Purchase" button)? As always, your time and kind assistance is appreciated!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
