Hi guys!

Today I had my first mac live chat. I was amazed to speak with a amazing MA. Here's our conversation.

Info: Please hold for one of our Artists to respond.
Info:Hello. Thank you for your interest in M·A·C Cosmetics. My name is Marci. How may I assist you?
jamie: hi I am looking for a lipstick in a peach or plum or pink color.
Marci: Is there a certain lipstick formula you prefer?
jamie: My dad was mad at me when I got ruby woo.
Marci: Dad's! They just don't know anything about fashion or make-up.
jamie: What kind of colors of mac lipstick is suitable for me
Marci: Well we can put you in all kinds of colors. It's just finding the proper shades in each to suit your skintone.
Marci: For peachy hues, there is a really pretty one called Skew.
Marci: It's a peach with a pink opalescent frost!
Marci: Then there is Fabby! It's pink with gold shimmer. I these would look great on you, and keep dad happy!
Marci: I "think" these.... sorry!
jamie: I am fairskinned.what about plum or pink color lipstick.
Marci: I think Plum Dandy would look great for a plum!
Marci: Click here for the Lipstick page.
jamie: I have tried rose pigment. what are your suggestions on pigment.
Marci: I love pigments! You can use them in anything. Take a look at Melon!
Marci: Click here to view Melon Pigment:
Marci: Melon is a really pretty peachy with pink undertones. I looks great as a shadow or bronzy highlight at the cheeks. It also would be beautiful in your hair. Just add a bit to your hairgel!
jamie: I know that mac is gonna have a D'bohemia event at nordies. how much is that gonna cost me. I would like to make a appointment.
Marci: I honestly have no idea. Each event is different.
jamie: if I go into a mac store can I make a appointment
Marci: Of course! For information on in-store makeup consultations and applications, please visit our web site at:
Marci: <http://www.maccosmetics.com/customerservice/cs_artistry.tmpl>
jamie: I have not ever gonna in a mac store. I live in fontana california. which mac store is the closest to me.
Marci: That is not a link! So it won't work if you click on it! Cut and paste it!
Marci: The web address I gave you should help you locate a store near you!
jamie: the link is not working at all.
Marci: Is there anything else I may assist you with today?
jamie: what kind of bronzer is suitable for me.
Marci: It's not a link. You need to cut and paste. Control "C". Take it to the web address area and Control "V" then hit send or go.
Marci: Our Refined Golden Bronzer will work great with your coloring.
Marci: Use brush #187 to apply Bronzing Powder anywhere the sun usually hits your face - tops of cheeks, top of forehead/hairline, nose and chin. Use a sweeping and circular motion to blend well.
Marci: Click here to view our Bronzers:
Marci: Click here to view brush #187:
jamie: I just got doubles blush in orchid sheen and roseland. on the mac package it said that orchid sheen is safe to use for the eyes. which color is orchid sheen.
Marci: The colors read left to right! It would be the pinkier shade!
jamie: its the 2nd one.
Marci: It's so hard to tell you without seeing the product in front of me. Sorry!
jamie: its ok
jamie: I also have a question
Marci: Send it on in!
jamie: which mac pro store and mac store are closest to me. I live in fontana california.
Marci: I apologize that I am not able to assist you with your inquiry within our Live Chat forum. We would be better able to assist you over the phone. I recommend that you contact one of our Brand Specialists at (US) 1-800-588-0070 or (Canadian) at 1-800-387-6707. If you prefer to correspond via email, I recommend that you contact our team of M•A•C Artists. They can assist you 24 hours a day.
jamie: its ok.
Marci: Do you have anymore questions regarding product?
jamie: The last thing that I am gonna ask you about is dark circles
Marci: M•A•C Fast Response Eye Cream is a super-hydrating cream that hydrates the eye area with a silky, matte finish. This vitamin-infused cream helps to reduce puffiness, and minimize dark circles.
jamie: somebody told me that studio finish or moisturecover is better.
Marci: Select Cover-Up is a liquid concealer that delivers medium-light coverage with a natural finish. This non-acnegenic formula evens skin tone and won't settle into fine lines around the eyes. Apply it under your eyes with Brush #213 and anywhere else that needs cover-up with Brush #252.
Marci: Well, everybody has there favorite products. It's finding one that you like. I recommended the Select Cover-Up because it's really easy to use and gives great coverage.
jamie: my mac skin tone is nc30
Marci: The Fast Response Eye Cream will help reduce the circles without using a concealer.
jamie: how much is the select cover up that the fast response eye cream
Marci: Select Cover-Up comes in NC30.
jamie: should I use both
Marci: I recommend using them both! The Fast Response actually will reduce the circles over a period of time. It's wonderful. The concealer, of course, will cover them.
jamie: how much does both of them cost
Marci: Your probably looking at spending about $45 for both. I don't know what taxes are like in your area. So I honestly don't know.
jamie: whats a mac pro store like
Marci: All I can say is the pro stores have product that Nordstrom and other stores don't offer. They have some cool stuff. You should check one out.
jamie: the nearest one is in Las Vegas
Marci: You have had some great questions today! I hope the information I have provided will assist you in your product selections. Perhaps the reason no one is replying is because there's nothing to reply to....

Jamie, think of it this way.

When we make these comments. We're not being mean.

We're stating a fact. The truth.

And as we all know, in one experience or another, the truth hurts.

Besides, you may have not thought you bothered her much. But its much easier for others to point out your flaws than you pointing then o ut yourself. Its human nature.

Now, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. So take this as a lesson on how to perhaps reword your sentences so they are direct and to the point, ask only the most important questions, or perhaps try a little harder to figure out things for yourself. I believe you are savvy with a computer, so if the link doesn't work, i think you would know how to fix it, instead of asking a MA for help.

Anyways, end of that. Perhaps you should go to a counter the next time you have questions. That way you wont have any computer trouble, and you will get to see first hand, on what colors look good on you.

P.S. Word of advice, dont bump your topic, and ask people to reply. It makes you look needy. And that isn't something ANYONE wants to talk to.
