I feel like an idiot for asking this because I just got hired...

What's the difference between a sales associate and a make up artist. I mean, I know the literal difference... But I thought everyone that worked at MAC was a make up artist? I've been reading threads and noticed some people called themselves just a sales associates...? So do you have to earn the title of 'make up artist' after basic, or somethin?

I feel like a fool.
