Ultimate Clutch?

I really need a new way to tote around my MAC, the stickers on my MSFs are starting to wear away and the black lettering on my l/g is rubbing off, so I was considering sewing up something for myself. I have a feeling it would have lots of elastic to hold things in place and lots of padding to keep things from shattering, any ideas on how to hold palettes in place? I have 4 that I always want to carry around with me but I don't want anything to break. Would a messenger bag style work out or would that be too much banging around? Any input or ideas that anyone has would be greatly appreciated, and I promise to post the end result of my fancy new bag once its done!

I use a similar one (see link below) by Bobbi Brown. They both have loopts to hold you makeup in place.
