Working for a cosmetic company but not as a makeup artist

I am really interested in breaking into the makeup world, but I dont mind being a makeup artist but I feel that I dont have the necessary skills yet to work in that position. So I was wondering if they were any other positions at a makeup counter that I could do other than makeup artist, thats an entry level.

Also I had an interview a while ago with Ulta, but I never heard back from them. Should I give up on them and move on or should I keep trying

I don't necessarily think everyone working at a makeup counter is an artist. In fact, I know they're not. Many counters are looking for someone who has excellent customer service/sales experience and feel they can teach basic artistry. Places like Ulta also may have stocking/inventory positions that would not require artistry. Good luck!
