I can't wait to hear (read) your thoughts!

I pulled out Black Orchid the other day to do a vampy look. I think I'm definitely going to have to go back for at least one more of the lippies...

My Tom Ford Stuff just arrived!

Okay... first impressions:

The liquid foundation is SMALL... like REALLY SMALL. It's supposed to be an ounce... but I'm going to guess that's by volume because... yeah. It's small.

The stick foundation is HUGE. It's so much bigger and fatter than any stick foundation I own. I have to check and see if it's as deep as a traditional foundation.

Caramel appears to be my 'dead on' color. A blog subscriber told me that the colors oxidize... but so far, the color on my wrist hasn't changed. It's been about 10 mintues. We'll see. If not, I'll trade them in for Tawny. Hell, I might just take the liquid foundation back because $78 is a LOT to ask for a little ass bottle of foundation.

Alrighty, Caramel is too light for me. Not incredibly light, but just enough to be a little ashy, and I don't like that at all. Contrary to what I've heard, it does NOT oxidize.

Stick foundation is AMAZING. Worth every penny.

Liquid foundation leaves much to be desired. Sheer to medium coverage... can streak if you're not careful. Formula is thin... not rich or dense like ... say Guerlain Parure Anything or Chanel Perfection Lumiere.

Cream/Liquid Foundation brush is FABULOUS. Doesn't eat the product and just 'diffuses' it over the skin. Worth every penny.

Both foundations are going back for a color that better suits my skin tone... and the liquid foundation may just end up staying there. I didn't need it anyway.

And I have to take back what I said about the liquid being small. It's not... it's on par with other one ounce bottle (I did a comparison). I think it's the design of the bottle that makes it look like there's a lot less product in there. The cap is rather large.

I just called Neimans in BH... the collection launches on the 13th so they'd like me to hold onto my foundations until that time.

I am seriously considering Black Orchid because it looked so amazingly pretty just lightly blotted on. BUT, I cannot believe that I would buy a ls even more expensive than Chanel or YSL

this is a horrible addiction.

Tell me about it. I keep telling myself that I'm going to resist buying and yet, somehow, things leap into my purse and follow me home.

HG, get the stick foundation. It's freaking huge. It's a LOT of product... even with the price. And you use so little to get the job done. I love it. I was worried at first because it's 'creamy' to the touch... I thought my oily skin would hate that. But it sets soft to semi-matte and wears just beautifully.

Now, I just need my proper color.

Tom Ford Stick Foundation:

It's about 1/8 shade too light for me. I'm trading it in for the next shade down.

I ordered both types of foundation (stick & liquid) along with blush nude lipstick. I won't get my products until next week - stupid Fed Ex. I had better be glowing my arse off next week for the cost of these products!

LOL I know what you mean Haven. I got my proper foundation color finally. Turns out, I'm PRALINE. These colors run really light, and really dark. There are no real 'in between' shades... and the undertones leave a bit to be desired. A little more yellow in Praline would be ideal...I'm just saying.

I have NOT seen the Flamingo lipstick... that's next on the list!

I convinced a girlfriend to get me the Burnished Amber quad for my birthday... what a crying shame.
