A definite skip. If you want a US sunscreen I would stick with La Roche Posay, or SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion/Sheer Physical for a physical ss. Euro and Japanese ss are more protective against UVA and use newer filters and you can buy them thru Amazon or eBay

I had a last minute baby sitting situation on launch day so I had to be on the road at around 5:30 am so I promised myself I would not go on the website until I reached my destination. I figured I only wanted the TF set and I would be okay until arrival. Hmm. Well, I used the app and I thought I'd look around at what other things were available. It took longer than I thought since there were no page numbers on the app. Anyway, I finally decided on the just the TF set and to do reserve for the other items I was interested in. I got "reserve item ready" ready message for the store I was going to the next day before the store had even opened and before I checked out. I never reserved items before. I was just concerned about the TF item because I wanted to pick it up on the way home and I didn't want the store to sell out. Well, it wouldn't go through and I kept trying. I finally gave up and called the store and asked an SA about holding one. She said I'll see if there is one there as there weren't many left last night. What? I'm wondering if they did pre-sells too but now that I think about it level 4 customers were allowed to shop the day before. She found one for me. Took my card number and said it would be at the counter. After that, I get a pop up on my screen that my order went through. Huh? I don't get to the store until they are almost closing my pone is dead I missed a lot of the messages but I did see the sorry for the problems message and 10pt day reward so I think it is all fine. But I don't know how to explain all of this to customer service. They find one kit for me but don't know anything about the one at counter as the counter person had left. Another sales associate says they don't leave stuff like that at the counter. Since they were giving everyone 10 points, I decided to make my reserve item a purchase and buy a perfume I like. One I picked up yesterday at another store and the perfume shipped. In my order history on the site it shows that I picked it up but the TF item is still showing as not picked up so I think I still might have a TF set at the store. Maybe there were 2 bags for me in the pick up area. I need to call or go to the store but I"m so tired.

Didn't everybody get the 10 point message? I thought it didn't matter which level you were if you tried to shop the sale yesterday because there were issues with the check out. I have to find that email to be sure.

Well, on my 2nd day sale shopping, I stopped at the TF counter at the second store. I haven't been to this mall in a while and I didn't know they had gotten a counter. It was quite large.I should have known. I was shocked to see they got the Fougere Argente scent in as I thought they wouldn't have it for ages. I asked the MA about whether they had the other new one in too and she started telling me about these other scents but I meant the Fougere Plantine. I know you can only spray but so many scents on yourself and I wanted to see what was new before I made a decision. She didn't know about that one so I sprayed it on. I don't know. Something about it I liked but it wasn't a must have at this point. I was watching some reviews and the youtuber said that this one was more masculine of the two so I was expecting something really masculine but I didn't find it so. There was a note in it that was familiar to me but I can't place it. I need to look up the note. I still need to try the other one.

Back to the makeup. Another lady came over and the MA became super excited and ran over to assist her. The lady told her what she came in for. I noticed the lip pencils in a tray on one of the counters I decided I would try one. My back was hurting so I decided sit down and took the tray with me. I'm trying the colors. I hear the exchange between the customer and the MA. Next thing I know the MA is taking the tray away from me telling the customer about it. She is really pushing for a sale and really catering to this customer. This would be fine to me except that I couldn't use the product. I was going to buy an item but changed my mind. I was very surprised. I never had anyone act like that before especially a Tom Ford specialist and I didn't know why. A few things went thorough my head but then I figured it was probably best. I had been making new Tom Ford contacts and had been thinking I need to stick with them for purchases. I was kind of bothered that I couldn't make it in to the store to get the Anniversary set so I was going to make my lip pencil purchase with that counter so that was a good reminder to go back there any way. But very odd for Tom Ford. Actually any counter or store for that matter.

But anyway, anyone try the lip pencils yet? What are they called again? Lip contours ? Sculpts? I don't remember. There were a ton of colors.

Annoying right! Hey, I'm so curious about those lip contour pencils. Way too hard to figure out what the shades even look like online. I'm going to see if I can swatch them tomorrow.

Ohhhhh....I had seen something about them being Neiman exclusive for now. Glad to hear that’s not true! That’s so GREAT that your Nordies got those counters!!

I just looked & they are up on Nordies. I'll be surprised if my store actually has them. Tomorrow is our Trader Joes trip :)

Ooh Charlotte Tilbury was the other counter I stopped by. It was at the store further away from me. Maybe my store will get a counter soon. A doubt it as that mall is way smaller. I did chat up the SA about some products. Oh maybe this should be in the CT thread.

I think I did like #14 as a nudist shade for me if I'm remembering right. I thought a nude/neutral would be a good one to start with. I couldn't make out the name if there was one. I will have to look it up.

I think that may be the one I was considering looking at the online color blocks. I believe it's called "Crave".

Well shoot, my store didn't get the pencils yet. I feel like it may be the kind of product that you need to see/swatch in person. When they get them in, I'm going to have the manager swatch all of them on something & send them down to me.
On a good note, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the TF set big time. I wish I would have done another on the preorder that I saw up before we left :( The one peachy skin shade is so beautiful on. I was afraid that the burgundy shade was going to be a bunny eye maker lol but it's a beautiful browned slight wine shade. I hope they get more in.
I bought a large floppy sun hat, the MAC pink lip set which is beautiful (got the last one), peach with white polka dots jeans at Anthro :rofl:and a pair of Vince Camuto platform slides with the cutest pink suede crossed straps. I probably could have bought more but tried to restrain myself.
Hubs got 4 cases of merlot & a big bag of popcorn :rotfl::yes:
Oh, the best part was lunch! We ate at the Nordies cafe & I had a bowl of very delicious crab bisque soup. :yumyum:

The awful part of today was we had to wait awhile in backed up traffic. There was a terrible 4 car crash with one SUV flipped upside down. We saw them pulling 2 baby car seats out & I freaked out because of how terrible the wreck looked but he happened to come up to a car picking him & the cars seats up in front of the police cars so hubs rolled down the window & asked of the babies were ok & he said yes. Almost everybody drives like an idiot anymore & it makes me crazy.

Ugh, I know what you mean. The things people do around here on the roads amaze me. And those are the ones who aren't texting! Ridiculous.

YAY! I hope you end up liking it. Its very pretty. I really like the peachy nude bronzey shade. It's very wearable on it's own. I layered a litter bit of the wine shade over it & it was super pretty that way too. In the pic Nordies had on the site, it was the upper left shade.

Oh I haven't tried the set yet. I'm getting notifications to come pick up my set so I guess I still have one on hold. I guess I need to try it before I cancel it in case it is back up worthy. The only thing is I'm hearing the quad may be the same as some of the single shades. Has anyone heard this? I think I will be able to go back to the store in a day or so and straighten out this double order situation.

Glad to hear those kids were okay. That must have been so scary to see.

Which shade do you mean you like in the equivalent singles - Iris Bronze?
