Because I like poking badgers with a spoon & out of curiosity I have been contacting sellers & asking where they get their pigments. In cases of 'pigments' that never were, like Hepcat, I have been contacting the sellers and letting them know they are fake. I thought you might find my results so far amusing if not actually helpful.

Where do you get your pigments?

I responded saying that MAC doesn't sell through distributors, etc.

She wrote back saying she was going to contact her distributors about this. We went back and forth a few times, she seemed upset about it but... her fake listings are still active as of this writing.

I've been sending messages around too, and reported some fake pigment lots so others don't get ripped off or blinded by the counterfeit products.

There was a lot of 106 pigments up yesterday and they all had eyeshadow names as opposed to actual pigment names (like the above mentioned Hepcat, Swish, Electric Eel etc). I contacted the seller but no response as of yet. But, the listing has been taken down, as I can't find it again.

LOL, cool idea, but I can expect most of them to go on about their "reputable distributors". LOL, distributors my backside, indeed. If you manage to lay your hands on a reasonably large lot of new Mac stuff, like I did, your only reputable reseller will be someone off EBay.

I've been keeping my eye on National Relief Charities since I figured it wouldn't try to rip people off because it's a CHARITY right? Well I was wrong, I remember seeing someone complain about fake pigments in their feedback. Ugh the stuff people do these days.

While searching old posts and with my recent experiences it feels like a dejavue...the counterfeit sellers all use the same terms like " trustworthy distributer/wholeseller" etc. when asked something about authenticity.

I imagine you'll have a hard time getting any seller to share where they purchase their products. They probably figure that you'll then just go to their sources and buy direct from them.

I don't care what you swear. Just use Google and find a MAC forum. MAC HK collection only had 2 blush, I have both, they both have names, and no MAC blushes don't comes with a brush in the bottom.
So yeah they are 300% fakes.
So to go back to my point 1- You never saw a real MAC blush in your life/ you didn't look any information on what you bought or 2- You steal people without regrets.

Have you noticed the most recent trend? Someone posts huge lot of genuine Mac for sale on the UK Ebay site for a relatively cheap price (something like 3000 pounds for 1000 items, and believe me the stuff in those pictures is to die for)... and then apparently they try to scam people into paying via Western Union or something like that? I've seen neg feedback on one of these auctions once, that's where I got that information from. Most of the other times, the feedback never changes from 0 (cos those are always new users on ebay), but defo seen neg feedback a few times.
