Another foundation question!

Ok, so I bought Studio Tech today and got colour matched to an NC25. It blends well and looks good on, however my first foundation was Select spf, and that time I was colour matched to an NW20.
My question is that how much do the foundations differ in colour? Have any of you found that in one type you are a different colour to another? Also is it actually possible to be both an NW and NC? Dopes this make me neutral?

im a mac mua, and yes you can get away with being an nw or nc. some people have warmer tones but prefer a yellow based foundation.. so its not always so black and white. when you go for an nc or nw, you won't ever be the same shade.. for instance.. an NC40 is a lot lighter than an NW40.

I wear nc42 but if i was to go for a nw foundation then id probs pick nw30/nw35 ish
