Bought fake MAC~ HELP!!!

Holls*

Hi all, I just bid on fake MAC on ebay and the seller is trying to rip me off in more ways than this (shipping also.) I was told by another member to contact ebay to get the auction revoked but I'm not sure what I should say to them. How do I PROVE the MAC is fake? I have proof of the shipping scam (as far as making a profit.) Any advice will be soooooo greatly appreciated. TIA

Im doing a quick search for the page you will need to contact ebay (and finding evidence). Have you paid for these? Have you contacted the seller? I would suggest telling the seller these are fakes if you havent already done so as ebay will have all messages between the both of you on record.
The shipping price is actually quite good for HK imo unless they dont offer combined/are charging extra fees (common thing for dishonest sellers to do).
Dont worry about having negative feedback left (all f/b from one person is counted as one neg/positive so it wont have too much effect - plus you can get ebay to take it down/respond to it etc).
The auction is a legal contract and through selling you a fake product they have broken their end of the deal (they havent stated anywhere that the items are fake), therefore you are not obliged to pay for any of it.
Also they are commiting a crime and going against ebay policy - by dropping in the word 'thief' in your email to ebay can help you (implying that ebay is playing a part in fraud) .*something i believe i picked up from a post by panda*

sweetie so sorry to hear it - but dont panic - there are several things you can do.
1 - Simply not pay, leave some revoulting feedback while you are at it. You will probably incur a neg of your own, but still an option
2 - email ebay with your concerns - you can site examples of fake pigments from various threads here, there are tons of them, and this pigment is very clearly fake
3 - REPORT to ebay the seller having sold you counterfeit goods
4 - open a dispute with paypal and escalate to a claim immediately citing why you believe its a fake and you will get a refund fairly quickly.

Some of the points you can cite are these -
- firstly there is no such colour (nor has there ever been) as Blue71 - ebay can check with MAC themselves so invite them to do so
- second the base of the jar is revoultingly thick - this is NOT an authentic MAC jar
- thirdly Blue was a pro colour which has been discontinued, its sometimes found on ebay, but never in numbers like this seller has had and this colour is definitely WRONG
- fourth the print on the front of the box is WRONG - there should be a space between NET WT (not NETWT), there should also be sapces between POIDS NET 7.5g (not POIDSNET7.5g) and there should also be spaces between .26 US OZ (not .26USOZ) these are ALL fuck ups in counterfeit printing and MAC dont sell "seconds" so they cant use the mistakes as an excuse either.

Hopefully you will get your refunf fairly quickly - make sure you leave them neg feedback anyway!!!

This thread has photographic proof:

Panda: Do you know which link to email ebay about a seller (the link you can actually write in, not the report a listing one)? Ive been searching but ebays changed some things around - its like they've purposely made it very difficult to find...

The first link would be more fitting in this case if you have paid.

Actually they do make it difficult to find. What I usually do is go to the help section and simply send them an email as if I was making an enquiry - its hasnt failed me yet and when you get a response you get a permanent email link to immediate online help. Counterfeiting is ILLEGAL besides anything else and ebay have a repsonsibility to ensure that sellers are not selling fake goods. If ebay fail their responsibilities as they very often do, then they are actually enabling the seller in their sale - make that very clear in the complaint.

its fake as well - look at the print on the bottom of the box, same as the other one.
From the feedback it seems this seller isnt only a counterfeiter but a real thief as well..... lousy feedback.....

I hope it all goes well, it seems to me that ebay is passively playing a part in this kind of fraud - they are being told repeatedly about these sellers, yet if the money's coming in they're happy

I dont believe for a second that they dont know or cant deal with the sellers - how hard can it be to close auctions and suspend fraudsters when they do it too many times to honest sellers?

What's bad is people are still bidding on this seller's items and none of the feedback has to do with the pigments they are selling...yet. Someone who has purchased a fake MAC item from this seller needs to leave negative feedback saying that the products are fake in order for new bidders to be warned (if they look at this seller's feedback, which we know lots don't). I hope someone leaves them bad feedback about the pigments soon.
