God...I really really LOVE my family.
So...Today was a fun day. It was my Sister's anniversary. My brother-in-law (Gene) is a kick ass mechanic so not only does he get jobs at work, he gets jobs at home too.....Sometimes accidents happen. I'm doing my FOTD pictures in my parents room.......THEN THE DAMN EXPLOSION HAPPENS o.o; Sigh. Gene and amanda (my sister) were test driving their Yukon around the block...and when they came back a clients Ford Bronco was in flames.... His friend Brandon was under the truck sawing off nuts and bolts when a spark hit a gas leak. The truck ignited and thankfully Brandon was able to get out from under it. No one was hurt...
However.... we're pretty sure the client is going to be mad. However, the client wanted the engine from the bronco put into his mustang.... the gas leak STILL would have been there. In the long run this event could have saved his life. I thought it was funny all of this happened while making my FOTD pictures so i decided to share the pictures from the explosion!!
It took 5 minutes on hold with 911 to get a response....and by the time the fire trucks came GENE had already used his yuko to push and pull the FLAMING TRUCK into their pond and AWAY from his house, and other cars which could have caused a pretty epic chain reaction. It was like watching a demolition derby in our own yard. Fun.

I am SO pleased with how my foundation turned out today. Stippling was fun, easy, and effective. The brush i used was Sonia Kashuks instead of MAC. Cheap and effective.
So as i go outside while taking pictures this is what I see next door at my sisters house.

So its kind of a miricle Brandon is alive. He and Bear (yeah his REAL name is BEAR) were trying to keep the fire away from the trailer when Gene and Amanda got home... Gene used his truck to get this one this close to water...

And now I will leave you with pictures of the men who (despite having an accident ANY mechanic could have had- ) were the heros of the day... Gene, Brandon, and Bear managed to keep the explosion from hitting the house, the cars, family members and crazy neighbors. -sigh- my neighborhood is insane.
PS- my brother-in-law is the one with the tow band in his hands. Brandon (who was under the truck) is the one in the brown shirt.
