Brown Eyeshadow Rec!

Hi ladies! I am looking for a meduim brown eyeshadow with no shimmer in it!
I have 3 brown eyeshadows right now:
Brun: I use for my eyebrows.
Espresso: Love this color but I am looking for something lighter.
Soft Brown: Good color to blend out crease, looking for something darker.

SO basically I am looking for a color in between Espresso and Soft brown.
Also, I don't want it to have grayish undertones (like brun does) or too reddish.

Oh, and I'm not sure if it matters but I am NC40.

My fave brown by MAC are Espresso, Embark, Cork and Wedge. None of them have shimmer. I use Wedge to blend out above my crease, I prefer it to Soft Brown.

On the MAC site, there's a color called Charcoal Brown, which is, according to the site, a muted taupe brown...It looks like a shade between Espresso and Soft Brown or maybe Bamboo?...HTH!

Also if you're near a Sephora, check out their brand eyeshadow called Cocoa Powder (#21).

The cheapest recommendation that pays off in pigmentation that I can make is the Vanity Palette x6 from Wet N' Wild!

The three colors on the left are mattes, it sounded like the middle (cork/ wedge) one was what you were looking for.

Embark and Wedge are great brown shades.

I love Espresso & Soft Brown... Cork is an inbetween shade, IMO. Definitely check it out!

I say Cork or Charcoal Brown. If those don't work, definitely check out Make Up For Ever brand.

Handwritten and Embark are very similar to each other but they are darker than Espresso and both have red undertones. There is an awesome swatch in the Matte2 swatch thread that compares the two.

^ I agree on Cork -- it is right in the middle of the browns and is neutral. Swiss Choc is reddish, Wedge is greyed and a bit light (adore this one tho), Soba is gorgeous golden.. Espresso and Brun are a bit too dark for what you describe.

Cork (more yellowish) or Wedge (medium neutral brown). Cork has a better payoff, though, IMO.

Cork sounds like the way to go. I would recommend Swiss Chocolate as well (a fave of mine), but it may be a bit too red for your liking.
