I have them and have to use them each time I wash my brushes. The 217 is a nasty little bugger that will ALWAYS fray on me, and the Brush Guard keeps it in check. I wouldn't suggest you stand it up in a jar to drain water like Michelle Phan suggests in her videos. Some don't all fit snug, so it an do damage. Just lay it flat and you'll have happy brushes once they dry.

SUPER TIP: [cuz I'm awesome!] - Don't order through Coastal Scents. They're a dollar cheaper, but their shipping is ridiculous. Just splurge on the extra $1 and the Brush Guard's main site will ship it to you for free. Even though Oakland is just 30 minutes away from where I live, they shipped it out and I got it the next day. They're pretty prompt on sending things out and not lagging. =D
