Butternutty - Any good?

My local CCO has loads of Butternutty shadesticks in and although I swatched it and like it I can't think what to use with it.

Anybody got some good colour combos to use with it?

I'm NW40 with brown eyes, brown hair, olivey complexion.

It can be used as a base for practically anything. It's a neutral shade, quite similar to Beige-ing but a bit more on the pink side. Beige-ing used to be my go-to base, and when I finished it I switched to Butternutty.

When you guys say base, do you mean a base so that the colour on top is brighter or base as in to keep the shadow on for longer? I've bought paint pots recently and I really want to use them but I'm not quite sure how, I did a search here but too many threads came up and the MAC website wasn't much use.

Base as in to make the eyeshadows pop and also last longer. Shadesticks, paints and paint pots are made to last up to 8 hours without creasing.

Apply the paint pot as a base on the lid using a 242 brush and on top apply the eyeshadow desired. There are a lot of threads here on how to use paints, paint pots and shadesticks. Let me do a search and pull the threads for you.
