These are some great video on how to contour, apply blush and highlight the face
YouTube - Highlight and Contour Makeup Tutorial

YouTube - **How to Contour/Highlight & Apply Blush**

YouTube - How to Contour and Highlight your Cheeks

I am nc43 and i use the LE sculpt and shape duo.
I have used the search function to pull out some threads that recommend a contouring powder for your skintone:

I personally like to do this after my eyeshadow, it's personal preference

As for technique, there are several youtube videos out there that could help you. I personally like the pixiwoo tut.
YouTube - BASICS: Contouring tutorial

There are a buttload of produts you can use. I'm about NC45 and I like using Folie e/s to contour because it isn't a muddy brown and it gives my skin warmth. Also, try a foundation, like in NW45 or NW50, and lightly apply it on the areas you want to contour.

For blush, smile and lighlty swipe it on the apples of your sheeks, blending (NOT APPLYING MORE) it outwards and toward your temples (we don't want 80s blush)

Is it necessary? No. It looks nice, though (if it's done well)

I'm nc50ish and I use the warm light/definitive duo. I really like it for someone around my complexion. I also have shadowy sculpting powder, but that's a little dark so I usually use it w/ a light hand. For nc45, I think the shadester duo could work for you, but you may have to really layer it on to get the effect you want.

I feel like for contouring, when it doubt, get the darker color. You can always use a light hand and blend it out to make it more wearable for you.

I used definitive on a friend here for contouring her cheekbones....which you probably can't see anyway, lol. But it looked really natural on her.

ok girls, I found my HG bronzer : Chanel's soleil tan de chanel - 63 terre ambre- the brush is awesome for contouring nose and the hollows of cheeks but u can soften it up with a 109 or a buffer brush?

i was using nars casino ( turned reddish ) bleh good bronzer but reddish look is a no- no for me

I have used mac refined golden, which i use often but the texture of chanel bronzer is silky and no shimmer like the refined golden.. I love my chanel bronzer.Im obsessed with it.

I am an NC 42 BTW
