So, I'm going to a wedding and I want to have some nice curls... I have wavy hair easy to style so this si not the problem... the point is that I don't know if I should use a curling iron or hot rollers...
I want to achieve big nice curls like these:

not tight not too loose like the ones here:

Seems that nearly everybody uses curling irons but I like the idea of having my rollers on and forget about it while they style on their own and I can do my makeup while they cool down... anyone uses them?

Any recs?

I don't use hot rollers. I use a 1 inch curling iron, which gives me bigger waves than the look you're going for, so maybe a 3/4 inch curling iron would be better for you? What you're looking for is the size of the iron or rollers regardless of which way you go.

Now that I think of it, my curls do end up similar to your picture's, but I tend to finger brush them out so they end up more like loose waves.

I agree with the above. A curling iron would be best to achieve this look. When I use my hot rollers, I end up with tighter curls. A curling iron would let you be able to control how loose you want them.

I definitely agree that a curling iron would be best for those kind of curls. Hot rollers give me tighter, and usually smaller, curls.

You can use either one. I prefer to use curlers but you have to play with them, find the right size and the right tention.

keep this in mind...

With a curling iron it will be easier because you will be able to control more how loose you want them.

With curlers you have to get the right size and make sure not to roll your hair too tight or it will not come out right. Just remember the smaller the curler and the tighter you wrap it; the tighter and smaller the curl will be, The larger the curler the bigger the curl and the less the tention the looser the curl. Just do not get the curlers too big or you will have no curl at all. Yes, is a pain but once you find the right combo is a piece of cake.

I know exactly what curling iron will give you pretty close to that look in the picture. Its by Enzo Milano 13mm round, has a pink handle. BUT, it may take some getting used to because it has no clamp for the hair like a normal curling iron - its just the rod. You twist the hair around the rod which gives it that look.

My hairdresser used this on my hair & it looked just like her hair in the photo! I guess its the exact curling iron they use on the Hollywood chics

Indeed, a curling iron is the best way to achieve this style.

Thank your all! I think I'm going to buy a new curling iron (I already own 1/4 inch one) just was wondering if hot rollers would do as they seem easier to use.
You all have been very helpful
