Do the bristles of the 239 ever get scratchy/hard?

I'm debating whether or not to buy a 239. I have the Loew-Cornell dupe of it but the bristles seem really pokey/scratchy to me now at the tip. I've had it for a while and can't remember if it was like that when it was new.

So...for you ladies who've had your 239s for a while, I'm wondering if the MAC 239 gets scratchy after some time?

No, I clean mine with MAC brush cleanser and it is still soft after all the time.

I've had mine for about 10 years and it's still very soft.

My 239 is firm, but very soft. Love it.

i agree with everyone above. i find most natural hair brushes actually get softer as they get older/more used if you take care of them properly
