Are you moving for work or academic reasons? Oxford's a truly amazing city and even though it doesn't have a freestanding M·A·C it doess have a counter in Debenhams right in the centre of the city.

My husband is studying there; I will be looking for a job (unfortunately, not such a great time to be doing that, but oh well..). Everyone I've mentioned Oxford to tells me that it's absolutely lovely so I've no doubt in my mind that it is. Really looking forward to it!!

Thanks for the MAC info - I was aware of the counter at Debenhams (it was one of the first things I looked up when I found out I was moving! hehe

). We don't have any freestanding stores in NZ so I'm not too bothered that it's only a counter, tho I'm dying to check out a pro store somewhere (London perhaps?) when I get the chance!
