Your hubby sounds like a great guy when he is up to something like that

And you were really changing your hair style! I just went from your current length to short hair and it is a huge change, but from reaaaaaaaally long hair to collar bone length is really different. I guess that you were missing the weight of your hair a lot.
Luckily my bf likes my hair as well and the back of head gets a lot of touching

I am getting used to it, like you girls said finding my way with styling helps a lot.

Will try the search for the powder again, but so far the new site is not liking Safari a lot. Interesting that even though the powders are supposed to be translucent they show up.

No Sephora here, but what did you get

Happy Birthday Elegant_one.
He is pretty awesome, I have to admit.

I'm really glad the hair's gone! I have pretty fine hair, but it's still really noticeable and gets heavy and annoying when it's that long. My Sister In Law and I were dared to grow our hair out as long as we could (by my nephew/her son, lol) without cutting it and she cut hers a day before I cut mine. We both couldn't take it anymore, lol. When I took my first shower I went into auto-pilot mode and pumped out WAY too much shampoo, that kinda stuff always makes me laugh when I change my hair. Glad you're warming up to the new hair, I bet you look adorable!

I got a bunch of stuff from Sephora's sale, some new things to try some basic re-stocking:

Clarins Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs (new to me, want to try it with my Clarisonic)
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer (new to me, been wanting to try this forever)
Fresh Sugar Rush Set
MUFE Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser
MUFE Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil - 18C
Laura Mercier Cake Eyeliner - Black Ebony
NARS Eyeshadow Duo - Melusine
Dior Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer (new to me, super excited to try!)
Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF60 (new to me, glad it's finally in stock)
Sephora Professional Platinum Lash & Eyebrow Comb #21
Sephora Large Detangling Brush
Sephora Large Oval Boar Brush
Sephora Wide Tooth Comb

Nora -- Good luck with the rest of the home organization! I know what you mean, all of the little things add up -- but how fun once it is all put together!

Have you tried Magnolia yet?

Meg -- that is so nice that you donated so much hair to Locks of Love! My hair doesn't ever want to grow very long -- it hovers about an inch or two below my collar bone. I am thinking about getting some of those clip in extensions (my friend uses them and they look so natural).

Elegant -- do you have big plans for your upcoming birthday?? I hope you do something wonderful to celebrate!
I can't figure out how to Multi-Quote! It lets me select more than 1, but I can't respond under anything other than the first one...blah.

I love donating to Locks of Love, I try to do it as often as I can. My hair grows like it's on roids so I always seem to have plenty to chop! One of my hubby's co-workers uses those clip in extensions and they look fabulous on her. The first time we met I had no idea until we went into the bathroom and she "Un-Clipped" and adjusted her hair...it tripped me out!

Also, in case any of you are missing the old smilies like I am, here's a link to all of them: http://www.specktra.net/forum.php?action=smiles

You can still use them, but you have to type it out using the :xxxx: format on the left hand side of the table. I found that somewhere in a FAQ thread about the new forum set-up and it made me so happy I just had to share.

Love to you all, and happy Tuesday!

To multi-quote, click "multi" for all the quotes you want to quote and on the last post that you want to quote, click "Quote". It works for me, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it the right way.

I missed the old smileys! Ooo, I want to try hair clips. My hair are very fine and don't grow terribly fast, so I prefer meddling with my face - putting on makeup, rather than doing anything to my hair.

I just wanted to share...

Late this afternoon we finally got the biopsy results back for the hubby and everything is FINE!
th_happy1.gif

All of the bad stuff is now confirmed to be OFF of our list of suspects. They found some issues, but nothing showing cancer (which to this point they had me believing was the problem, assholes...lol) or any of the other really serious problems. Apparently these kinds of issues can take up to 8 years to diagnose because of how difficult it is to get accurate tests for certain things. We'll be going back in a few weeks for a follow-up for more tests (nothing major, more bloodwork) to start the process all over again. So while we still have no idea what the problem is, we now know for sure it's not anything on the big baddie list. I am totally overjoyed, relieved and thankful. Our most likely suspect is Celiac disease, but the treatment for that is a change in diet (no gluten)...and we can totally handle that!

I just wanted to say one more time how much I appreciate all of your kind words, thoughts and support. In a really trying time all of you helped make it a bit easier and I will be forever grateful for each of you!

Meg, this is great news! I am so happy for you.
Too bad that the doctors do not have the social skills as they do in Greys Anatomy

So, so, so happy for you

Thanks so much ladies!

We're incredibly relieved and somewhat annoyed (such a long wait with nothing but doom and gloom talk from the doctors, blah!), but more than anything just plain happy. We can easily handle a little annoyance at this point, for sure...it's about a million times better than a different outcome!

Chanel related: I've decided to pass on the gorgeous holiday quad. While I really do love it, I can find a way to create a close enough look with what I already own. If the darkest shade were a single e/s I'd be ALL over it, that one is stunning. Oh well, the Spring collection looks fabulous beyond words and I need my pennies for that!

What fantastic news!!!! I was beginning to wonder what was going on.... I think that took even longer for you to get the results than they said it would didn't it? You must be so relieved!! Does that call for some Chanel to celebrate? LOL

Such great news, Meg! And if it turns out that it is Celiac's, there are so many great gluten-free products and recipes, now. I made a really yummy mac 'n' cheese using corn pasta, as recommended to me by my uncle, who has Celiac's.

Thanks so much!

There really is such a great variety out there now! When we first started this whole ordeal Celiac's was one of the first things they tested for. It came back negative, but could still very likely be the problem (lame right? lol). I researched a ton about gluten free food and was really pleased with the amount that's actually out there! One of the specialists we see says it's really becoming a big deal as we learn that more and more people are actually very intolerant of gluten. If this turns out to be the issue, I'll be changing my diet with him of course and it's nice to know we have so many options as I love to cook...and we both love to eat.

I just had to post this! The Chanel shadows are really showing up and showing out! This is the taupe color from the enigma quad. It wore for 12 hours with no creasing or fading. I did not use a base or a fixative spray of any kind. My lids are VERY oily, so this is a big deal!
