Coral Love - a coral pink that would be pretty with Chintz

Nope, neither am I. I'm getting seriously addicted to glossimers though, so I may end up picking one up with the fall collection, either Petit Peche or Rose Dilemma. I'll be going by the counter tomorrow, so I'll see what they say about the fall collection in Canada.

Love, love, love my Exceptionnel De Chanel Intense Volume And Curl Mascara - i get very dramatic lashes, but I do have to use another dry brush to clean and separate after applying it. It seems wetter than my other mascaras. That extra step is worth it though.

I adore glossimers- they discontinued my favourite (Sesame) but I'm sure I'll find newer shades. I kind of prefer the American colours, not our French ones. What about you?

I recently got a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and I've been going to town with it...I have no idea how I got by before without it!

OMG!! You have to be kidding me!!

I'm seriously obsessed about gift wrapping!! Once I even stamped my own paper!! Usually I do my own bags and boxes!! For Christmas I design a gift wrap for the year/season that I personalize for everyone!!

Even if I just make a treat to take to someone, it *has* to be wrapped in a cute bakery box or cello with ribbons, or I won't take it. My husband thinks I am crazy haha And I love my kitchen aid, too -- I really love baking gormet goodies (darn sweet tooth!).
I really want to investigate Chanel skincare more! My husband will love that one -- like the makeup isn't enough

I like the sounds of Chintz and Rose Dentelle. I am overwhelmed with all the glossimer choices (the new ones and the perm ones). I've never tried any glossimers before and am not sure what to go with!

An experienced MA, the nice one I met a month ago, told me that fall collection glossimers are usually perm. So we can get these later if we don't want them so much at the moment. But it's best to check with your MAs about these glossimers first.

Hi darling!!
wavey.gif
th_kiss.gif

Oh!! Haven't I told you that?? Sorry.
blush-anim-cl.gif
Most items from the Fall and Spring collections make it to the perm line!! Except those labeled LE or creation exclusive.
yes.gif

Nail polishes rarely stay in the perm line, especially those hot shades we totally adore (kaleidoscope, jade, nouvelle vague,...). My guess is Jade Rose will.

From glossimers and lipsticks, usually one of each is LE. The quad usually stays in the perm line also the blush. This time we'll get three so I don't know
th_dunno.gif
. Eye pencils are usually LE. Single eyeshadows don't have a rule, sometimes they stay, sometimes they doesn't.

Things have changed a bit since Peter Phillips runs things, so it won't hurt to ask your MA which things will make it to the perm line.
thmbup.gif

Sorry if I didn't share this with you earlier.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

^^ Thanks for the details! I wish I bought Kaleidoscope!

From the fall 2010 collection, I want:
Enigma
Cassis
Pink Explosion
Paradoxal

The purple inimitable mascara is calling my name, but I've never worn coloured mascara, only black or brown. I don't think I need purple mascara though.
lol.gif
I will see and test the lipsticks, lip glosses and the single e/s before deciding. I'm also thinking if I should get Jade Rose, but I think I will like Mistral more, which I'm still considering getting.
th_confused_new.gif
Are the micro glitters in Jade Rose visible and pretty on the nails?

ETA: Temptalia said the three JCs are all LE, but not sure though, it's preliminary info.

And just to share, I'm wearing Petals & Peacocks from GMLOL lightly dabbed on my lips, and top with Courtisane. It looks beautiful on my skin tone.

Ooh! So I'm thinking Chintz and Rose Dentelle RC's, and Coral Love and Rose Dilemma glossimers! Somehow if they put rose in the name I want it, imagine that.

I'm actually thinking about getting my first (and second!) Nail Lacquers from Chanel with my fall stuff. I have to get Paradoxal (taupe + purple, it's Tauple!) and I've been really wanting Illusion D'Or for a while now, so I'll get that too. So excited!

Ok, this is just getting out of hand (in a good way of course)! I do wish we all lived nearby...getting together for crafting and coffee, chatting about make-up and shopping would just be too much fun. All of you bring so many smiles and laughs to me on a daily basis, even from a distance. I feel so lucky to have met you all here!
heart.gif

Baking wise, the only cookbook I use is an ancient Betty Crocker book that used to be my Grandmother's. It's HUGE...like an encyclopedia! I highly recommend anything by Betty Crocker, it's hard to go wrong there.

Oh, I definitely didn't know that! So a lot of Spring and Fall items are perm, but the Summer and Winter collections are mostly LE? If the quad will be perm, then I won't feel as much pressure to get it right away. I will definitely have to ask at the counter which things are LE and which are perm.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I know some of you have recommended Paillettes glossimer (a peachy pink nude, right?). I also saw a swatch on Temptalia for Coral Reef, which also looked like a gorgeous peachy pink (they still have it at Neimans, not sure where else). Which one of these is a must-have? I can't get enough of this color for summer -- I love layering them over nude lipsticks . . . which reminds me, why haven't I bought Mythic yet??
th_dunno.gif

Hypathya -- I really got into baking when I was i college -- I started watching the Food Network a little bit. I have a bazillion books on baking. I love to collect them -- especially the ones filled with gorgeous photos
drools.gif

I haved ordered quite a few through Amazon. Some of my faves are: Baking From My Home to Yours (Dorie Greenspan), Williams Sonoma Dessert, Baked: New Fronteirs in Baking, The Sweet Melissa Baking Book, Sticky, Chewy, Messy, Gooey by Jill O'Connor, and Death by Chocolate Cookies. The recipes all range from beginner to more advanced -- but I'm sure you could find quite a few that you could start with. Williams Sonoma cookbooks usually have standard US measurements and metric units also. Happy Baking!!

The only U.S. shade I have is Seashell, which happens to be one of my favourites, but can't really compare them because I haven't seen any others! I prefer the one's that have some coverage and are iridescent or shimmery as opposed to really sparkly. Do you have a lot of the American products?

My favourite JC also happens to be a U.S. colour, Rose Bronze. Got it a couple of weeks ago and I've used it every day since except for the one time I tried out Marine Life! I also find that Rose Bronze wears longer than the rest of my JC's

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Elegant, I bet your house looks lovely surrounded by beautiful roses. I am really looking forward to a rose garden in our new yard.

Sooo... I went to Chanel on my lunch and came back a whole lot poorer! I picked up the UC Line repair serum and almost fainted when I saw the price and also got the Ultra Correction eye restructuring anti-wrinkle firming eye cream. This stuff better work!!!

I also asked about the fall collection... Canadian girls, at the moment, we are being told mid to late August.

I think the SA at the counter now thinks that I am certifiably insane when I started to tell her about the fall collection. I've had her before, she's not all that into her job and looked at me like I was nuts when I told her about the info on various blogs and she then suggested that some of the info might be hearsay...

At any rate, after today's purchase, I now have enough points at the Bay to redeem a $40 gift card!

You will love planting beautiful flowers around your new home. Maybe your little girl will enjoy planting with you too. She is just soooo adorable!
