Help with finding nars lipstick shades

Hey ladies, I'm planning on buying a couple of lipsticks from nars for my friend's bday but I need help in what shades to get her. She doesn't use foundation so I have no idea what shade she is in mac, but she has the same skin tone as lupita nyong'o. She doesnt wear makeup at all, so im thinking of starting her off with "safe" colors like pink, coral? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Does your friend have warm or cool undertones? Does she have pigmented lips ( ie brown and some pink in her lips?). Nars has the Audacious lippies which are great. There are some coral and pink shades, but you should swatch in person to get some ideas. If you insist on Nars, you might want to get her a nude shade like Dolce Vita.
